Congrats UW-Whitewater!

For years we talked about someone, anyone, climbing the Mount. You'd already proved able to climb the Mount, even more impressively, you've shown you also have the ability to stay at the top! All of DIII is now chasing you. Here's to hoping the rest of us can make it a good race.

Does this victory increase the likelihood Plinske gets the nod for the UW-M job?

Scary to think that Coppage still isn't done :-[

I don't think this game will have any bearing on whether plinske gets the job at UWM. That will be done on his own in the interview when he meets with the interview committee and goes through that process. Just like after 06 when Zweifel went through the interview process and Leopold beat him out far and square. Despite what all the nays Sayers were stating. A job is won or lost in the interview room not on the field.
Either way GREAT JOB WARHAWKS. The WARHAWK ANTION can once again say that we are NATIONAL CHAMPIONS. ONCE A WARHAWK ALWAYS A WARHAWK.

+K hi fives all around...UWW, UMU fans...i don't discriminate...great game.

I'm hoping that the tests UWW has faced will help them against UMU. Either way it'll be a dogfight, UWW by 10, that seems to be the magic number.  :P

Hah, I called that!  ;D

GBMAN

1. Getting the snub by the NCAA and not getting a #1 seed

2. Having your backup quarterback lead your team throughout the playoffs

3. And do have the gumption/character to be down 21 to 10, and seize the lead and eventually win the game

As a UW-Whitewater fan, I take my hat off to the the staff, the players and we fans that supported them....

GO HAWKS

I actually was complaining about how "ugly" this game was in terms of the turnovers and both back up qb's struggling to say the least...but lets be realistic...there is no such thing as an ugly national championship...

congrats warhawks and to #30 and #10...glad to see you two having an impact on such a big stage...enjoy it for a day or two and then get in the weight room...we have some unfinished business...we are coming for augies 4 straight...

okay maybe we should go for 3 straight first!!!

Congratulations Warhawks on your back-to-back championships. Enjoy it.

See you next year in Salem.
12-0 = 13

Great time watching the game at old #62's new digs in Coppage and Ford land.....Two things we love to see....(1) great play by the Oline and (2) a double dose of Coppage....For those who doubted the Warhawk secondary(I was one) we certainly were proved wrong....Thank you for another great season......next year we win the rubber match with Mount Union.....Great job Dink!.....Pound the Rock!!! BOOM!!!......

The same is true for Vince Kehres when he interviews for the UW-RF job. I think it's his to lose based on the interview. I've seen the  first 3 candidates and they were all good, but he brings a little something more, probably. But will he want it after he gets here? Kevin Bullis also has an excellent shot.

MESSAGE TO RECRUITS:  IN DOUBT? ENROLL AT STOUT. DON'T CARE? GO TO EAU CLAIRE. AT A LOSS? TRY LACROSSE. FEELIN' OUTTA JOINT? YOUR PLACE IS POINT. DON'T LIKE THE REST? DO WHAT'S BEST!

GOT BALLS? PLAY FOR THE FALLS!

What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

After today I think we can clearly say that the top 4 is:

1. UWW
2. UMU
3. NCC (Yes three, not two, UMU is clearly better)
4. Wesley (weakest of the four on both sides of the ball)

The impressive thing about Levell's effort today was all the times he hit the line of scrimmage, or tried to get around it, and did not get much because Mount was hitting hard and then POOF!....gone.
I know it's verboten, but he looked like an OJ Simpson of 1967-68. Take my word for it.

(I did write that without reading the d3football account of the game   8-)   which I'm doing now)
