True but at least you aren't about to experience the onslaught that the Packer fans are going to see tonight. This is gonna get ugly....
About the only ugly thing tonight was the play calling in the 4th quarter when the Packers had 1st and Goal inside the Patriots five yard line.  By settling for the FG, it kept it a one possession game instead of a two possession game.  It allowed the Patriots to take the lead with a TD, and forced them to score a TD at the end of the game, instead of kicking a FG to win it.

You can add the clock management in the final minute to the list of "ugly" as well.
I totally agree with that, it was definitely a closer game than I thought it would be. That timeout with 53 seconds left killed us. The only thing that really sucks about this game is that we could have spring boarded ourselves into a likely wild card spot with an upset tonight and we blew it. Ugh.

If a 71 yard kick off return by a 313 lbs. offensive lineman is not the "uglist" of all ugly things, than nothing anymore is ugly!! If the Packers ST Coach is still employed by the time the team charter lands in Green Bay, I'd be surprised.  :o

UWW is losing (just based on year, not sure if they're out of eligibility):

Aaron Rusch (WR)
Lane Olson (DB)
David Leaf (WR)
Matt McCulloch (DB)
Antwan Anderson (RB)
Booker Stanley (RB)
Stephan Jonsson (LB)
Max Ford (LB)
Luke Hibner (DL)
Grant Murray (OL)
Mark Gawronski (OL)
Robbie Ustruck (OL)
Matt Weber (OL)
Adam Brandes (WR)
John Novak (TE)
Jon Baldwin (DL)
Wesley Hicks (DL)

I think the soph & freshman WR's (Huber and Menzel) acquitted themselves rather well playing against the best competition - who knows, a few years from now maybe we will be comparing them to Rusch and Brandes. Will David Leaf get a medical redshirt (retagent - he's from your hometown - know anything?)? He was off to a great start this season before getting the season ending injury.

The OL is going to be fine - the back-ups got a lot of good playing time this year and guys like Jimmy Norris will step right in and continue to lead the way.
The DL, also, played a lot of guys and will be fine. It will be fun watching a guy like Lou Minnett (sp?) cause havoc on every down. He will be entertaining. Jake Holstein, Casey Casper, and Jake Keeser all return.
A lot of experience graduating from the LB corps - but Greg Arnold returns in what could be a monster year, others like Josh Williams will finally get their chance to play full-time.
2 very good QB's return and the running back pipeline should continue to supply fresh horses.
DB depth was made this year with a lot of young guys getting valuable playing time...should pay dividends next year. As a group, they did play pretty well in the Stagg Bowl. They were tested mightily this year, but passed the test.
All in all, tough seeing seniors who have brought so much to this team depart, but the sun still shines brightly tomorrow. Nobody should think differently.

this is more of a random thought but what happened with AA this year?  I mean he was a stud back up last year and shined in the game vs River Falls and then its like he disappeared

Did I miss something?  Did he get hurt or did he just fall out of favor very quickly for reasons that have been kept quiet?

I understand that this team has/had a ton of depth at RB but that just confused me a bit as I saw Booker Stanley running the ball in the Stagg Bowl and thinking about how AA filled in at times last year.

Storybook ending for Huskies; change awaits

QuoteSaturday's offensive coordinator and running backs coach Rob Reeves and quarterbacks coach Jim Zebrowski both told the Daily Chronicle on Saturday night that they would join Jerry Kill's staff in Minnesota.

Sure, but the truth. Guys like Reabel & Wenger weren't highly recruited out of HS, they were good players in HS and they worked their tails off and became a player well beyond expectations."

:o   Have at it, guys.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

That is the stupidest post I've ever seen on the boards.

Once again, I offer congrats to Voice, BadgerWarhawk, et. al. on yet another title. As you grasp the walnut and bronze trophy, I urge you to remember what your mothers said: "Put that thing down, and give someone else a chance." Again, my sincere congrats to you.

Thanks, Brian.  Next year it's LaCrosse twice.

ROTFLMAO, let us hope they continue to misjudge prospects and players like Coppage and Raebel continue to come to WHITEWATER.

I'm not positive but I think David Leaf got a medical redshirt and will be back next year.

Next year could very well be the biggest challenge to continuing this run that the coaching staff has faced.

And also Zach Howard back as wide receiver assuming he has recovered from knee surgery. A very good player also.

My bad, Zach Howard is the player I was thinking of and not David Leaf.  Thanks for setting me straight BG.

That has to be one of the DUMBEST statements I have heard oon this board in a while. Copage could start at most D3 schools as could stanley and Anderson.

Champs07

Move over Mount...there is a NEW dynasty is D3!! While it was overwhelmingly clear that UWW is the top of its class, I would also like to add; just below UWW is MUC....North Central doesn't belong in the same book!! No one gives a Sh$t about who is number two/three in the country!!  If you aren't the champs...it doesn't matter!! That being said this UWW senior class is 57-3, 19-1 (play-offs), and THREE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS!!! WOW!! The memories these guys have just made will be carried with them for the rest of their lives!! A great group of '07-'08 guys in whitewater Saturday watched and celebrated as if we were on the field with them. This group of Seniors was the first of the Liepold regime and without a doubt the best four year run in school history.  Rusch, Brandes, Hicks, Olson, Gawronski, Hibner, Novak, Baldwin are justvsome of the big names to replace but UWW is at the point where we don't rebuild anymore we just RELOAD! And believe me, the guys that are not on the 2010 travel squad, who watched their teammates celebrate another title in Salem will be more than motivated this off-season to get THEIR chance to be in the spotlight.  And remember....I can say this now (and truly believe it), the BEST PLAYER to ever put on a Warhawk jersey is coming back. COPPAGE and his new SR class are right where they want to be....On pace to break even more records and possibly be one of the best classes in the history of cfball!! With the Nations current longest winning streak on the line "The NEW PURPLE DYNASTY" is far from over....
