Where's Harbaugh going? I say he stays at Stanford.

While I'd love to see him come home to Michigan, I suspect he's going to the 'niners.

Or the Dolphins. It's kind of ridiculous that this guy might actually double Nick Saban's enormous salary.

It's been reported on cbssportsline.com that Miami has broken off negotiations & have decided to stick with Sparano. What a weird situation.

That's funny to me. That sounds like a lawyer was involved in that decision.

First Post!  Feel like starting with "...long time reader, first time poster..."  I'm starting to think he (Harbaugh) stays.  With the speed that these things seem to happen, I feel like the longer the clock is running, the better the chances for Stanford

I dunno man, I hear he's grossly underpaid. I hear he's currently well under 2 mil per year. There are too many places that can double his salary and from what I remember hearing about Stanford is that they have a salary cap for their football coaches and it's set at 2 million dollars. To put this into perspective, Nick Saban makes about 4.7 million dollars per year. I think it's highly unlikely that he stays in that situation but then again, that's just my opinion.

Stanford will undoubtedly work a new deal with him if he stays.  The question is whether he wants to go to the pros.  IF he does I don't think that there is anyway that Stanford will be able to come up with enough money to compete with either San Francisco or Denver.  There is more to it than money and I don't know how important that is to Harbaugh.  He's got a pretty good team coming back for a serious run at the national championship and the list of college coaches who have been successful at the professional level is a short one.

Mr. Ypsi

It is being reported that Harbaugh has signed with the 'niners (5 years, $25 million).

Do you think any Warhawk players will get an NFL look, or maybe some have already (scouts)? :) +k's

Mr. Ypsi

Would the NFL be pursuing players from a #2 seed?! ;)

[Oops, my karma may soon be rivaling TDT! ;D]

My dog started barking in a joyous way just after Michael Vick threw the interception that guaranteed the Packers win.  Coincidence?  Probably - Shelby ain't that smart, though too smart for her own good - we can't take her camping because she can escape even a full harness! :D

no, probably not the NFL... but each year there's usually a few that try out for other pro leagues (Canadian, etc..)

John Novak (TE) and Lane Olson (LB) are two players who were getting looks during the season.  Though I don't think either of them would be a draft pick it's possible that they'd get free agent invites.

badgerwarhawk,

Free agents do make it in the NFL, but I do not have the stats to say how many actually do. Wish them luck however! :)

The two DIII players with the longest careers in the NFL, Matt Turk (15 years) and London Fletcher (13 years), were  both undrafted free agents.  It's a long shot but it can and has been done.

Good luck to Shorts as well.
