I must admit I grew up hating the Packers but then I married a lovely woman from Wisconsin and then my son attended UWW.....Even with that complete jerk Charles Martin, I must admit my feelings towards the Packers have changed over the years......still love beating them but don't hate them like I do the Vikings for instance......Being a Bears season ticket holders we will be there tomorrow to watch firsthand what I hope is my Bears upsetting the Pack which probably right now is the best team in football......Go Bears! Pound the Rock! BOOM!!!......

This is how God intended pro football to be played:

Super Bowl guaranteed not to have a team from the Mountain or Pacific time zones; plus there be no team from south of the Mason-Dixon line.

Four cold weather teams are left standing.  All is well with the world.

Lovie was concerned about his team's production out of the quarterback position and he admired what Mike McCarthy was doing with Aaron Rodgers so he decided to visit with McCarthy.  "Mike," Lovie inquired,  "how do you get such great production from your quarterback position and your offense?"  McCarthy looked over at Aaron Rodgers and said, "Aaron, come on over here for a second."  After Rodgers had walked over McCarthy said to him, "Aaron, who is your father's brother's nephew?"  "Oh, that's simple coach my father's brother's nephew is me," Rodgers replied quickly.  "There you have it Lovie, a smart quarterback, you have to have a smart quarterback," McCarthy said.  So Lovie went back to Chicago and at practice he called Cutler over to his side.  "Jay, who is your father's brother's nephew?"  Cutler thought hard and unable to come up with an answer he asked Lovie, "Coach can I get back to you later with that?"  Lovie said "ok," so Jay walked away and seeing Devon Hester he said, "Devon, can I ask you a question?"  "Sure," Hestor replied, "what is it."  "Devon, who is your father's brother's nephew?" Cutler asked.  "Oh, that's simple," Devon replied, " my father's brother's nephew is me."  Cutler now having an answer walked back over to Lovie and said, "Coach, I know who my father's brother's nephew is, it's Devon Harris."  Lovie rolling his eyes and looking exasperated said, "no it isn't you idiot, it's Aaron Rodgers."    :D :D :D ;D

Hey BoBo, I have a picture that you boys might get a kick out of but the site says the file is too large.  Can you tell me how to fix that?

I had to think long and hard about your request because I don't like the idea of helping the "enemy" post anti-Packer propaganda. But, in the interest of fair play (and good humor), it sounds like you simply have to make the picture size smaller. Go to photoshop, open your picture, click on image from the tool bar and image size from the drop down menu - then select your new size (by pixels or measurements) and save. Return to PP and insert photo. Other photo editing software, if you have it, will do the trick also. Click the "insert post" words on my post if you want see how to set up to enlarge the photo. Hope that is helpful. I'm sure there are other ways to do it to. If you have the image on photobucket, for example, they have editing software right on that site. Good luck.

From footballscoop.com:

"Gardner-Webb: We hear Ron Dickerson Jr may have accepted the Gardner-Webb head coaching job.  We have not confirmed this information yet."

Remember, they earlier reported Leipold had interviewed.

Dickerson was HC at Temple in the mid-90's and spent last year at Lambuth. Has a career record of 15-62. Was a DB on the undefeated Dolphins of 1972.

During these cold, quiet days, there is time to think. Perhaps too much time for Pep to think. So Pep was musing:

The 2010 Stagg Bowl was, once again an all-purple affair. The chances of that occurring were pretty great, considering five of the eight quarter-finalists embrace purple as their dominant school color...Whitewater, Mount Union, Mary Hardin-Baylor, St. Thomas and Alfred.

It was difficult to sort out the Saxon fans from the Mount fans at Mount Union Stadium on Dec. 4, 2010. It definitely was a "Purple Out."

The color purple has only a couple words with which it rhymes. Given the desire to be clever and witty in supporting the Saxons, one is severely limited in concocting a chant with a line ending with "purple" when desiring for said chant's lines to rhyme.

So, here's an off-season challenge for all posting supporters of purple-clad teams....first, identify the TWO words (and one is a stretch) that rhyme with purple. Second, create a chant in support of your team that uses at least one of those words that rhyme with purple.

On your mark, get set.....GO!

On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

from theheadcheese.com, my prayer before going to bed tonite:

The Cheesehead Prayer

Now I lay me down to bed
A wedge of cheese upon my head
Allegiance to the Packers
I promise to keep and cheer them on while I'm asleep.
If I should die, don't let me wonder,
Just bury me neath the frozen tundra.

But, Lord, before you take my soul,
Let me see the Pack in one more Super Bowl.
Forgive me Lord, for those I hated,
The Lions and Vikings, they're overrated.

The streets of heaven, so I've been told,
Are paved for us in green and gold.
If I get to heaven I'll have only one wish,
A big screen TV with a satellite dish.

I pray for this Lord, for only one reason,
to cheer on my Pack to a winning season.

I'll close this prayer by thanking you Lord,
for listening to me and the time you afford.
But one more thing......please remember the Bears,
Because that's a team that hasn't a prayer!!!

Oh wait until tonight, he may change his mind along with his retirement.  We all know he can't stick with a decision.  In fact, I like the jinx that the Packer's wayward son just put on them! Karma can be a bitch!   :D ;) ;D

Been a stellar week on here, Gentlemen!  Loved every minute of it!  While being a FIB is one of the most egregious things I can be in Wisconsin, I do love your state and cherish all my wonderful cheesehead friends and every moment of Warhawk football. IF the green and gold are victorious today, I will cheer them on to take it all and be happy for all of you.  Just be kind and don't rub it in too much and I promise to do the same WHEN the BEARS head to the Super Bowl for the 2nd time in 5 years!      ;D

GO BEARS!  GO BEARS!

Thanks, 68 and right back at ya, much better than 3- 6's!  :D
Picking Da Bears!  I know they played their starters in the last match up but don't think, beyond that, they showed everything while the Pack was playing for their lives and we still held them to 10 points!  The atmosphere in Soldier Field will be off the charts, despite BoBo's lame prediction that Bears fans sold out the stadium for money,  ;)  and the 4th phase will deliver, special teams helps tilt the balance and of course, DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS!  With the inconsistency of the BEARS play this season and the play of the Packers the last few games, it is just plain silly for BEARS fans to be confident but for various reasons................we just are!   ;)

Besides, anyone who follows the WIAC pick ems knows, I ALWAYS pick my team.  Lousy karma otherwise;D
