Dan Berezowitz, UW-Whitewater alum and son of former UWW head coach Bob Berezowitz has "landed on his feet bigtime" in the wake of the recent firing of Tim Brewster at Minnesota.  The younger Berezowitz was hired this week as recruiting coordinator for the Oklahoma Sooners.

The following is from a story was published yesterday (2/9) in the St. Paul Pioneer Press and published this morning (2/10) in the Tulsa World newspaper.

Oklahoma has hired a recruiting coordinator, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported Wednesday.

The newspaper noted that OU coach Bob Stoops hired Dan Berezowitz as the Sooners' on-campus recruiting coordinator. Berezowitz, 40, had been recruiting coordinator at the University of Minnesota since 2007. He previously worked as recruiting coordinator under Mike Stoops at Arizona (2003-06) and also was director of football operations at Texas in 1998-99.

Oklahoma did not issue an announcement Wednesday.

Berezowitz replaces Bruce Kittle, who was promoted to coaching offensive tackles and tight ends, filling the vacancy created when offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson was hired as head coach at Indiana.

Huh   ???

Congrats, Dan.  I was wondering where he'd end up after the U of Minnesota.  Nice gig in Oklahoma.

Raider 68, I'm guessing teams from Ohio really don't like playing Wisconsin teams all that much these days,  ;) ?

BoBo,

I guess you are right! It was a good game between to good teams, but the Badgers have to come to Columbus for the last game, so we will see!  ;D ;D

That was a great game yesterday. It will be interesting to see the last game of the year re-match. Althogh with all of the conference tournaments and tournamnet champion getting automatic bids to the BIG DANCE. The regualr season doesn't really matter that much, as if you do well in the tournament you most likely will make the BIG DANCE.

The last time an undefeated team won the national championship was something like 1976.  It just doesn't happen very often and if I were Ohio State I'd just as soon take a loss during the regular season than in the post season one and done tournament.  They're still a very, very good team and it will take divine intervention for the BADGERS to beat them in Columbus.

Yesterday I saw some numbers on the Super Bowl betting.  Roughly $81 million was bet.  Despite it heavily favoring Green Bay and the PACKERS covering the spread the bookies made roughly a $730,000 profit.

UWO 2011 Schedule released. UWO looks to start 2011 off by hosting Central College and then traveling to UMU. UWO will round out the NC schedule with an away game against UW-Stout. Also worth noting, UWO will host UWW for the HC game on October 22nd. I'll be making the travel up to Osh from Milwaukee for that game to both watch my alma mater and see how well a former RB I coached does as the backup for UWW. Is it time for spring ball yet?  8-)

^ I thought the deal with the 'playing a conference opponent' twice thingy was that the first game would be the conference game and the second would be the NC game? I'm a bit surprised that the OSH schedule shows it differently. Please correct me if I got my info backward.

Also, UWW played @ OSH last year - it would seem the game this year would be in Whitewater. I guess I need to brush-up on my WIAC football schedule making procedures. ;)

I don't know that it makes any difference but when we played Eau Claire twice it was by choice and not mandated by the conference.  Therefore with the commissioner's approval the two schools decided that the first meeting was a conference game.  This year the games are mandated and selected by the conference so perhaps they decided which game would be the nonconference/conference one.

I have no idea why we would play in Oshkosh two years in a row.

Something looks wrong about these schedules cut and pasted from the UW-O website. Too many games being played at the same site.
