What is Derek Stanley up to lately?  Did he catch on with anyone after being cut by the Rams a while back?

He went on to play in the Canadian Football league (Tronoto Argonauts), but was released on June of last year.

I don't think anything has changed since then.

After taking another look at the UWO 2011 schedule I see that the non-conference game against UW-Stout on September 22nd is a THURSDAY night game.

When was the last time a WIAC football game was played on a Thursday night?

UWW did last season at Platteville. It usually gets scheduled following a bye week, just so both teams have time to prep for it.

It's a little different driving home from work, and being able to listen to the game.  :P

I just shake my head:

I am in the chow line, I tell the TCN (Third Country National), I want rice, he says you want rice? I say yes rice. He says on the plate? I say Yes rice on the plate. He gives me lasagna. I say no I want rice. He says the lasagna is on your plate. I say thats not my plate, mine is the one your gonna put rice on. He asks what he should do with the lasagna? And to think some people only have to deal with the glass half empty/full argument. :-\

If someone asks me how many I want and I hold 1 index finger up AND say one, does that mean 1 or 3 ? Just checking....

Sorry to interject a great conversation.

Just checking in and giving props to the WIAC. We played UW-LaCrosse last season as our opener and I was thoroughly impressed with the facilities and fan support yall have in Wisconsin. LaCrosse was a class team and the fans were excellent.

kubiack, I went to the lunch buffet at the Seoul Grand Hyatt in I'taewon on tuesday. It was a national holiday here in Korea (Independence Movement Day), so it was very well attended. They have a very nice spread, with about everything one might expect at a top notch hotel. As I walked up to the Chef slicing the roast beef and lamb, he (a 20ish Korean male) said in nearly flawless English, "Good afternoon, sir. How may I help you?" I responded with a casual, "...a few slices of roast beef from the medium well end...sliced very thin please." I even pointed to the area that I wanted him to cut from. He proceeded to give me the Paul Bunyan cut (about an inch thick) from the opposite end. As he picked it up intending to place it on my plate (which I was not extending), blood was still dripping off of it -- it was about as rare as rare could be!! The Chef was genuinely surprised when I refused it. Long story, short, I ended up getting my cut and it was delicious.  ;)

BTW, good to hear you're eating rice. I hope it wasn't white rice - that's not the best for health.

Oh it's white rice.   Lowest bidder gets the contract for food service.  At least for us it worked that way. :P

Anyone know where we can find past UWW schedules/records prior to 1998?

Kind of disappointing if that's as far back as there is.

BoBo

02, HERE's the conference game by game report from 1973-2010. Schedules for each team and game scores. It's from the WIAC homepage. Maybe the Warhawk on-line media guide has additional...I'll look when I get a chance.

O2-You could call the UWW football office they have all of the recap books from every seasion in the 90's there in binders. Lists all of the coaches and players as well as stats from every year and who was winning what award at the banquet. It's actually the book that was given to everyone who attended the banquet.
