KitchenSink

Did everyone notice that it is KitchenSinko de Mayo today?

Ummm ... did anyone?  (it's OK to lie about this.  Thanks in advance)
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

K&J'a Dad- i think his name is Tom (been a while since I met him) and I think he was just a frosh or redshift frosh- southpaw.

I looked over the 2010 Huskies media guide and didn't see any QB with the first name of Tom or anything similar to that...this is sounding like a mystery in the making!!  ;)

Greetings, Gentlemen.  Been out of town for a week and getting caught up on the talk. Spring ball over, 2010 rings handed out, can first day of camp be far behind?   ;)
Just wanted to mention that, unfortunately, my future daughter-in-law is now a casualty of the education purge in Wiscy and was laid off in the final rounds of cuts.  She has taught 7th grade math in Janesville for the last 4 years.  If anyone knows of any opportunities in the area for a full time job with benefits, teaching or otherwise, (she is A.J.'s source for health insurance until he finishes school,) I'd appreciate a heads up.  She is incredible smart, (has never gotten less than an A in her entire academic career,) detailed oriented and very self motivated.  They really need to stay in the area, if at all possible, as he has 1 more year to finish his masters at UWW  and wants to coach this fall again at Janesville Craig HS.  In the interest of networking, I just thought I would throw that out there.  Any lead at all would be greatly appreciated.
Welcome to the WIAC board, Thunderhead.  Plus karma for being a newbie on here and for your icon!  ;)

Thanks, Guys, you all are the best!  Means a lot that you took the time to remember me today!  My husband asked me years ago what I wanted for Mother's Day and I said, "I want the same thing every year.  My children to come home and pay attention to me."   ;) Give the moms in your life a lot of love and attention today.  Won't cost you a dime but will buy you tons of appreciation from her!   :-*

Footballfan413 - thanks for the welcome, and thanks for the K+, but I noticed someone already dinged me. ha - oh well.

I am excited about fall camp, Lou Holtz was a commencement speaker at Trine this year, Bobby Knight did it last year, and it was pretty neat to so Lou on campus. Guess he spent some time with the coaching staff, I've always liked him, and after reading his book, I became a bigger fan.

Sorry to hear about your daughter getting laid off, things in Michigan and Indiana are not much better. It seems education is always one of the first things to go. It to bad really.

Go Trine!!!
Education is what you get from reading the small print. Experience is what you get from not reading it.

Matt Walker, new Falcon f.b. coach, is also an accomplished baseball pitcher. Last Friday, he pitched three innings for the River Falls Fighting Fish b.b. team in a 3-2 win over the Eau Claire Bears in EC. He struck out 5 allowing 3 hits and one run over 3 innings. It was his first stint on the mound after a previous summer when he had little baseball action. Formerly, he played baseball and football for DePauw U. and coached both sports there.

Too bad RF no longer has baseball as a varsity sport.

Meanwhile, the Falcon softballers won the WIAC league and tournament championships. Maybe success in football is just around the corner?
