they just never seem to have a defense that can stop anyone. That's why I don't think they'll be able to compete, they need to put the defense together first.

While UWO's defense has has struggled recently, it was actually pretty good as recently as 3-4 years ago when Cerroni was the defensive cocrdinator. 

As cubs pointed out, the UWO D was real good fairly recently. #2 D in 2004, 2005 and 2007. #3 in 2006. They have also steadily improved from #7->#6->#5 over the past 3 seasons. With 8 of 11 defensive starters returning I hope to see that trend continue.

Also, has the new radio partner to Gary Douglas been announced? I can't understand why no one from the station hasn't called me!!  I'm still available for hire...and I come cheap!!

Interesting 2011 interim roster.  Please remind me, who many players can UWW keep- 100? 
Do they still play Frosh/JV games?  I'm curious how many kids are trying out for the team this year for a second or even third time- that didn't make it in previous years.  There could be some good stories there.

Not to step on Voice's toes, but I think the WIAC allows 100 players to be on a roster. And Yes, UWW has a JV team.

Playing JV games depends on whether we can find opponents.  Typically we'll play a couple of games.  We've played Point, JuCos and club teams in the past few years.  I don't know about this year but if I hear anything let you know.

Last year I heard whispers that Whitewater will be charging an increased "premium price" for tailgaters parking in the lot just south of the stadium (Perking lot).

Does anyone know if that was put in place this season? Hopefully it was just a rumor.

I'd love to find out how many guys are trying out for the team again this year that didn't make it in the past.  I guess I can locate last year's media guide and compare it to the 2010 final roster, then compare to this year's media guide.  Ok, that will be my homework assignment.

surprised to see Shane Covington listed as a RB. I heard we was going to be moved to WR this season. Plus I'm glad to see Cory Robinson back at WR, after a year hiatus. hopefully he didn't miss a step, we can use his size.

I remember hearing something about that, too, 02, now that you mention it but no details yet. Didn't pay a lot of attention to it though because, it doesn't matter to me.  I'll pay what I have to pay.  Not letting a little thing like $$$$ keep me out of my favorite spot!
