Has anyone heard of any notable lifting numbers from testing days?  Who is the strongest player pound for pound in the WIAC?

Haven't a clue...but probably an outside LB/SS type who wins the pound for pound award. Not an indicator they are the best, or even start at their position though.

There hasn't been anyone in football, since maybe Aaron Rodgers a couple years ago, that people were discussing different ways that they could/might  "eliminate" them.

It's finally here.  IL high school football opens tonight and youth football opens Sunday- Yahooo!
I'll be at the Fremd vs Lake Zurich game- both teams have roots with UWW.  Norris, Ford and Wright are from Fremd and Blanchard is from Lake Zurich.  Lake Zurich looks to be a top team this year. 

And then there's that something on my calendar for next Saturday as well, some football thing as I recall.

413, I think I've figure out exactly what the Cougar's problem is.  It's that Chicago Bear style C on their helmets.  It's bad karma in this parts. Tell AJ that they need to axe it.

Funny, BW!  I'll pass that suggestion along to him.  I do believe seriously in karma so you have a very good point.     Another thing that might help would be for the offense to not commit 6 TO's.  That and trying to stop a soon-to-be school record breaking RB is a lot to ask of any defense.   Despite all that, the score was still 29-23 at the start of the 4th before the wheels came off.  That loss is going to hurt for awhile, I'm afraid.........

4.  UW-Eau Claire         Last season's poor performance more of a fluke
5.  UW-Oshkosh        Won my admiration but will only go so high in the WIAC
6.  UW-La Crosse   Will take another year or two to see their resurgence but it's coming.....   
7.  UW-Platteville   Never do well predicting the Pioneers.  ; )

Is there going to be a fan bus to LaCrosse at all for Saturday's game? I'd love to go but there's no way I'm going to blow a total of 7 hours worth of gas!

Any particular reason that Stout is picked to finish high by many people?  They seemed average last year but are apparently losing Warminski as he is not listed on their preseason roster.  I'm not real sure who to pick ahead of them, just wondering why others are high on them.

BTW - Here is information I received this morning:

The Kachel's be sponsoring a fan bus to River Falls, Oshkosh and Eau Claire. Buses will depart from Perkins Stadium. Here's the schedule:

Oct. 8    UW-River Falls, depart at 7:00AM

Oct. 22  UW-Oshkosh, depart at 10:00AM

Nov. 5   UW-Eau Claire, depart at 10:00AM
