My predictions:
1.  UW-Whitewater
2.  UW-Stevens Point    Could very easily flip the Pointers and the Blue Devils
3.  UW-Stout    
4.  UW-Eau Claire         Last season's poor performance more of a fluke
5.  UW-Oshkosh        Won my admiration but will only go so high in the WIAC
6.  UW-La Crosse   Will take another year or two to see their resurgence but it's coming.....   
7.  UW-Platteville   Never do well predicting the Pioneers.  ; )   
8.  UW-River Falls

Any particular reason that Stout is picked to finish high by many people?  They seemed average last year but are apparently losing Warminski as he is not listed on their preseason roster.  I'm not real sure who to pick ahead of them, just wondering why others are high on them.

I guess it comes down to how you define, "average."  For me. it would never be a term that I would use to describe any team that finished 3rd in the WIAC two seasons in a row regardless of what their record was.  Yes, they lose those great tailbacks but their QB is in his 3rd year starting and threw for almost 1900 yards and 15 TD's in 2010 and they are returning most of their defense who ranked 2nd in the WIAC behind the Warhawks.  Blue Devil Defense always seems to be tough year after year.  I have no second thoughts regarding where I ranked them.

Is there going to be a fan bus to LaCrosse at all for Saturday's game? I'd love to go but there's no way I'm going to blow a total of 7 hours worth of gas!

Wow.....I am in Northern Ontario fishing and my brothers-in-law and I are driving to LaCrosse from here.  Hope to get there in time for tailgating!   Anyone let us use a little space on their grill?   We did not have room for it given fishing tackle.  .

Hey Warhawkdad, considering the enormous haul from the Northern Ontario lakes you and your brothers-in-law will be packing  , will "a little space" be enough? No one in their right mind could turn down such a delicious request, IMO!!    Safe driving!!

P.S.S. That was Tyler Wesphal, I think...he's no longer on the roster. Only played in 4 games last year anyway.

LaCrosse's offense is a mess with only one starter on the o-line and no emerging candidate at QB; we shut them out last year even with Nick Anker at QB; our front 7 probably won't be quite as amazing as last year's but with the depth from playing 15 extra games the last three seasons we still might not allow more than one or two LaCrosse scores; what's more we could have scored more than 24 points last year but ran the ball a lot in the second half (perhaps Blanchard was already hurt? Details of his broken thumb remain tighly under wraps).

Anyways if anyone plans to drive from Whitewater to LaCrosse on saturday (I will have moved in already because I have to work on thursday) I am willing to pay if you will take me along.

Looks like paying more for parking and, "preferred parking," is a reality at Perkins Stadium. I personally don't mind paying more for the closer lot and hope it still goes to support other athletic programs.  With the preferred parking pass the increase comes to $5 a game.  I do hope that the cars that have been parked there since the night before on the boulevard are ticketed and the practice isn't allowed anymore, though.  We have tailgated next to cars taking up primo real estate in the lot whose owners never show and you know they avoided paying anything to park there.
