I know it's early and there's probably nothing, but is there any news or rumors about who UWW might play next year for the non conference games?

Unless we completely annihilate Franklin and they back out, we should have the Grizz for one game at home and La Crosse again in NC at home, too. I guess our deal with Campbellsport, or Campbellsburg, or whatever it is, is probably over. We'll probably have to pick up another NAIA somewhere along the way...let's bring back Azusa Pacific!!  Ahh, Jedi, don't you think it's a little early to be thinking about next years NC games when this year hasn't even started?  ::)

I believe Franklin is a one-year contract. Franklin already has its hands full next year, playing Mount Union non-conference.

I believe we have Washington U on the schedule next year.

The conference opponent isn't a home/away thing.  We'll play a different opponent.  I think it's Stevens Point.

I just like seeing different teams then I have before so I was curious if UWW had gotten anyone new. I'm also curious to see if they have gotten anyone in-region to step up and play them. So no worries, I'm totally focused on this season atm. :)

Well c'mon...UW Oshkosh is playing Mount Union and Whitewater for the 2nd straight season...I would think a playoff contender like Franklin could handle it  ;)

Stevens Point's roster is posted.

Two of the more interesting number selections are #97 Jerit Zeitler QB/WR and #99 Jamal Watkins RB. The Pointers are setting a new standard with this numbering system. Oh, and 6 guys out of Oshkosh.  Sounds like the pipeline is in full operation.

Stout's roster, too.

UWW's roster has returned.

I coached Jamal Watkins in 2009 at Bradley Tech as our 3rd string RB behind Michael Pirtle (UWW RB last season) and Marcus Horne. Glad he chose to pursue college football and even more glad he pursued a college education.  Disapointing he hasn't gained a single lb since his JR year of HS...

Stevens Point recruits the Fox Valley very hard so not suprised at the 6 guys from Oshkosh as well as a plethora of others from the area. Many HS athletes in Oshkosh don't play at UWO simply because they want to go to college in a different city...change of scenery I guess. Wonder if that is similar for the other WIAC teams?

Thanks for the link to 2011 UWW Roster Bobo.
I went through it somewhat hastily.  I've never compared rosters to previous years before, so this is how you build a program.  Maybe I shouldn't be, but I am really surprised by the turnover of players.  I had no idea.
From the 2010 roster to the 2011 roster:
15 Graduated
3 Are Injured (that I know of)
34 Are Gone- underclassmen last year that are not on the roster this year.  Most were freshman, but I think 8 were sophomore.  Some names that surprised me include:  Chris Williams (WR), Iannotti (QB) and Knapp (QB).  As well as Pirtle and Levi Johnson of course.
34% of last year's underclass roster turned over.
We do show 3- 300 lb Freshman O linemen.
60 frosh/soph on the team.
5 QB's.

Great stuff Emma!  My breakdown of the 2011 UWW roster includes the fact that 29 of the 100 players are from out of state.  A postive fact for local Warhawk fans si that five local players are on the roster - four that are expected to play major roles (Jake Keeser and Jaren Borland (Fort Atkinson), Cy Robinson (Cambidge) and Lou Minett (Whitewater). Another WW Whippet (Nck Romani) has made the roster as a freshman,  For more info click on the following URL: http://voiceseyeonfootball.blogspot.com/2011/09/2011-warhawk-100-player-roster-released.html

If you are on the sidelines during practice, the one thing that coaches are always yelling out to the players in FINISH IT

There are also players that need to be kicked in the a** to play at the highest level. Then there are players that need to spoon-fed complements and that a boys

Hey everybody - Bobo is the reason I was able to upload the 2011 UWW roster onto http://www.voiceseyeonfootball.blogspot.com/ even though his source did not include this weekend's two-deep roster. Just kidding!
