Hey Bleed, just for the record I was teasing Bobo, not you with my Oshkosh hater post.

You were only teasing me?  :-\  Why would anybody do that?  :o

fbf413, could you tell emma to stop teasing me, please?
Oh, BoBo, you know I'd love to help you out but 17 doesn't listen to me! But I may have an ace up my sleeve.............bringing the wife to the home opener this weekend, 17?    ;) ;D
Interesting D-3 results this weekend, wasn't it?  And it's shaping up to be an other crazy season in the Wacky WIAC.  These conference mandated NC games are giving us an early opportunity to become befuddled sooner.  The Pioneers don't usually confound me and screw with my pick em's until a few games into the regular season.  ;)
And the Eagles held their own against the Cru better than I anticipated with all the externals working against them.

45-17

I hope it's the other way around though.

I came close

41-17 was the final.

I saw how close you were...but couldn't bring myself to actually say you guessed well  :-X I haven't seen any stats on the game or heard any of the broadcast. All I know is UWO's only lead was 7-3 early in the game.

Almost forgot, congrats to UWEC!!!! They went in Collegeville and destroyed St. Johns.

I heard their fans were leaving at the half. Which is really saying something given their strong fan base.

Congrats to them.

Also, props to Platteville going into Point and handling them pretty well. I'm very interested to see what they can do against a Wheaton team that doesn't have it's starting QB.

So far so good for the WIAC.

Check out the discussion on the MIAC board.  It's interesting.

Never heard that sort of talk from Johnnie fans. Sounds like some are ready to move on from the John Gagliardi era.

Since St John's has not had a losing season in about 50 years, you have to understand this is a rare occurance for us. Even when the Johnnies have lost in the recent past, they have been competitive. This years team looks perilously like a team that will not be competitive. Give us some time to process what is truly an unusual situation. How many teams/programs can say that? :-[

02- that didn't seem to bother UWW last year. And Wheaton's "backup" just threw for 6 td's to 6 different receivers. Should be a great game in Platteville Saturday.

The answer is quite simple, ONE - it's Linfield, of course. I hear the streak has gone on for a gazillion years without a losing record.  ;D   ::)

I was thinking the very same thing.  Somebody had to go to the principals office, maybe?   ;)

I remember that Wheaton/Platteville game from a year ago.  Wheaton was streaming the video.  It was a tale of two completely different ball games. It was tight until halftime. Appeared that Platteville had the momentum. However, the second half was all Wheaton; they completely ambushed the Pioneers, who couldn't do anything right. I think that lowly feeling lingered with them in the weeks that followed. I expect a more complete game this year.

The only prize I can give you for answering correctly, what was meant as a rhetorical question, is a shot of karma. Done!

There may have been others in the past, but right now, that's it. Linfield has SJU beat on that count.

Maybe in 40 years we can include another team near and dear to YOUR heart. Time will tell, but I won't be around then.
