Sorry for the shameless promo, but my 16 year old son started a blog a couple of days ago. He will be making posts about the Packers, Fantasy Football, and the NFL Draft. He wants to be a sportswriter when he grows up. (Actually, I wouldn't mind being a sportswriter when I grow up either).

He just put up the second post of his life. It is a preview of the 2012 NFL Draft.  It's almost scary what we pass on to our kids!

Anyway, other than his intention to attend UW-W, it isn't D3 related, so I won't be posting about his blog very much if at all any more.  But if you are interested in the Packers, fantasy football, or the NFL draft, feel free to check it out.

For the record, he did win our fantasy league last year and was the overall point leader in week one (Has Wes Welker stopped accumulating fantasy points yet?)

First retagent, now Raider 68 - thanks for the kind words gentlemen...

...but, as my grandfather always told me:

"Sometimes you're the dog, other times you're the fire hydrant."

With the good Lord watching out for me, I've been lucky enough (I think) to be the dog more than that hydrant.

No worries fbf413 - just checked the size of my cranium - I'll check again in the morning and let you know if there's any change!!  ;)

On another football note, a lot of talk on sports radio today about Brian Urlacher returning to camp and playing this weekend so soon after his mothers death.  I think you boys will not be surprised when I say that,  if it were my family facing that decision and my son did not take the field because of my passing, I'd come back and haunt him!   ;) :D ;D   I suspect that Mrs. Urlacher might feel the very same way.  Thoughts and prayers are with #54 and his family.  May she rest in peace.

Thanks, Sak.  Watching my son play college football was one of the great joys of my life.  I know your family felt the same.  For me, there would be no greater tribute.  GO BEARS!   ;)

Are you going to be at the Perk tomorrow?

I'm a little upset...My Warhawk flag ripped a few days ago. The top eye-hole, that connects to the top of the flag pole, ripped out of the seem. Now, I can't get to the bookstore fast enough to get a new one now. Since I can't make it to tomorrow's game, I'll have to wait till October 1st to hit up the bookstore.

When they won it in 2007 I left it up all winter long....In hindsight, that probably wasn't a smart idea.
