See that the Badgers face South Dakota this Saturday September 24th. I noticed the name "Ed Meierkort" in the article as the head coach...believe he was a former UW-Stout head coach, correct?

So what do we do w/out UWW football this weekend?

Anybody doing something fun on our open weekend?

I'll actually get a full nights sleep on Saturday.  That may not sound like much, but having to stay up/get up every game night in the fall is tough on an old body. Yippee!!

I have ex-roommate of mine from Whitewater getting married Saturday, so I'll be at a wedding. Even though there is no game, I'm still incorporating alcohol and Whitewater this Saturday.  ;D

Can't believe it's coming up on week 4, and I have yet to attend a game.

The time has arrived for many players who have been working hard and waiting for their opportunity in the UW-Whitewater football program.  How those players fare may well determine how much success the 2011 Warhawks experience.

Heading back to SD for my.....cough....cough.......35 year high school reunion. yes, I am old................ ;)
With the Warhawks on a bye, the timing was perfect but unfortunately, we miss a Cougars home game.  I still get to enjoy Friday Night Lights though.

35 years 413?  You must be celebrating the number of years since the high school opened.

My 14 year old fishing maniac son and I are going on our first musky fishing trip of our lives up to the Northwoods.  Nothing like seeing pure joy on a kid's face, it's amazing how excited he is.

Really well written BP. I think you have really good insight into what Warhawk football is all about.

Emma, Hawk, and Raider,

Thanks for your kind words.  I appreciate it.  Raider, no doubt the Mount machine has been in the reload position for a long, long time. Regardless of the level of the program, one of the most fun things to me about college football is to see kids who have paid their dues come in and excel when they get their chance.

Just got a chance to read it this morning, BP.  Great job.  Kudos well deserved.   :)
