413- thanks.  I think if I use the attachments and other options, I will be able to attach a photo to be opened- but I'm trying to include the photo as part of my message (like the three old logos) so that you don't have to click on a link.  I've read through much of the Flickr stuff and feel I've followed their advice.

Maybe once IL Gator is done laughing at me he will help.

I posted some write-ups about the up coming WIAC games this weekend. Feel free to use them before you make your selections on the WIAC Pickems*. To tell you the truth, after doing a little about the Oshkosh/Eau Claire game, I went back and changed my pick.  :-X

I'm agreeing with everyone when they say that this Oshkosh/Eau Claire is going to the best WIAC game to-date. It should be a barn burner!!!!

As a public service, I had to make the small print a bit larger for those of us old folks or those of you younger folks with vision problems.

Just figured it out, 17, I think.  To upload a picture from your computer, click "attachments and other options," under the reply box and then click, "browse," and find your pic to attach.  Then it shows when you post.

413- Dang it- you were right in the first place.  Get your picks in so I can copy off you.

LOL.  You mean when I told you how to do this?     ;)  BTW, pics by tonight or tomorrow morning.  I work best under pressure.  Now I am tempted to not pick Oshkosh!   ;) ;D

I agree. I try to take it all in every game too. I know one day this dream run will come to end sooner or later. Hopefully later.

Then years from now, when footballfan413 has about six grandkids  ;), we are going to be talking about that magical 6+ year stretch that Whitewater had. And how we gave the mighty Mount Union all it could handle during that time period.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words regarding my "These are the Good Old Days" blog entry.  I appreciate them!

O2 Warhawk, thanks for the research and the info on the nicknames.  Great idea and very fun to read.

I have to say, I have laughed while Perk told the story many times.  Too passive is right! As soon as he arrived the Quaker nickname was dead on arrival!  Whoever submitted the name "Warhawks", I just want to thank you!!
A nice article....and thank you for sharing the link.  It was a fun read.   Allow me a clarification.  Being a Blugold is more than a color chart reference.  To be a Blugold is to recognize ourselves as our school.  What is a Blugold?  I am a Blugold...as is any one of the thousands of students to walk through Schofield Hall...along the banks of the Chippewa...on Wisconsin's most beautiful
campus.  It is a Blugold helping Blugold philosophy that binds us through the years. And thank God we're not the Normalities.  So then, here is to the Blugolds!  Sing it with me....Eau Claire College dear, Hail to thee my alma mater.  Strong through every year, Hail to thee the Blue and
Gold ... U Rah Rah....
I'm a Blugold, too, but I never learned the words to the fight song, so I'll just hum it!  ;)

02 Warhawk,

I picked UW-O to win over UW-EC, regardless of the points! I think QB Wara is the difference!

Watched a good portion of the UWW/UWP game on FSN North. You guys deserve better camera work. What's with the close in when plays are being run and half the players are out of the frame, or end up running out of the frame? Somebody get those techs on the ball ( or maybe more off the ball).

Love this post!  + karma, Blugold 89

Love the hard work, 02 and BP.

Thank you for the "good karma".   I'm going to channel that karma to Carson Park.  Ah Homecoming in Eau Claire.  Nothing better in the WIAC.  I mean where else does the parade march down a street as colorful and with as many " tap rooms" as Water Street??? I remember when I was Marching....we didn't have to break formation to grab a beer in one of the historic pubs..,the faithful lining the parade route would personally DELIVER the cool refreshment to our trumpet section. So here then is a toast to the Blugolds and the Titans, may the game be safe and exciting and represent all that is good about football in the WIAC!  And here now the end of our rouser...." Fight Blugolds Fight tonight. For fame and victory!"
