Really wish there was video for the Whitewater-Oshkosh game. On paper it looks like a real battle.

BTW I trust NO coach's pre-game chatter. The first series of downs is the only truth in football and even then he may be bluffing.

There is free video - I posted the link yesterday. If it's anything like last year, it's not great, but it's something.

UWW has already faced him twice as a starter and Wara has played his two worst statistical games.

Do you think that's somehow unique to Wara?

Not at all. A fair number of QB's recently have had bad games against WW. A few have had good games, too.

But, of all people, Cerroni should know that Wara has struggled against WW, yet the quote from Cerroni in that Northwestern article that "...he was certain that his offensive output would be just the same under either quarterback," might suggest that if there was any question that Wara wasn't 100% healthy, starting his back-up would be the best option for the Titans. Why start a QB who, when healthy, provides the same offensive output as the back-up, but isn't healthy.  It would reason that the back-up would provide a greater offensive output in this case.[/font]  Hey, I just want the Titans to put the best guy on the field under the status quo. In this case, it might be Olla.

??? Huh  ???   Bobo, Pat got it right, trying to interpret coach speak, gets us no where.....LOL, but I did enjoy trying to decipher exactly what was being said......what was it anyway?   ;D 8-)

The horse is already dead, but when Olla is the QB on Saturday, I'll be able to tell you and Pat - "I told you so!!"

You can do that but you are hardly the only person who thinks that's possible or has said so.

Thanks Bobo, I rolled back and found your link. If it's over 60 degrees, I'll be on the Harley. Under 60, I'll watch the Mount-Capital game till it gets embarrassing and then cut to Oshkosh. Got a feeling the Mount game will be career day for a lot of players. Hard to believe they were Mounts toughest competition till about 5 years ago when having completed millions of dollars worth of new facilities, they de-emphasized sports

Been back in God's Country, (Mn,) all week and busy as crap so I missed this great week of build-up and board chatter to the showdown in Oshkosh today! I'll be listening today and wanted to wish my WARHAWKS a great game! The Titans will be a formidible opponent and this will be the biggest challenge of the season and my rule of not relaxing until we are up by at least 2 TD's or more will be in full effect!

GO HAWKS!  BEAT THE TITANS!!!

BTW, have been able to lurk once and a while this week and for what it is worth, no one should question 17's loyalty or support for the Warhawk program. Once a WARHAWK, Always a WARHAWK and while his opinions, some times go down the road less traveled, his comment on the OAC board was misinterpreted and he didn't deserve the blow back he got from it, IMHO.  I hope he comes back on soon.  Too much fun around here when he joins in!
     Just my two cents.......

Lets go Hawks! I'm only slightly nervous about the game, have complete confidence in the team though.

MasterJedi

Before UWO audio cut out for a second: "UWO pulls off the greatest upset in UWO history defeating UWW 43-2, none of us would have believ..." then it went dark for a second and then they came back serious.  :P

DBQ1965

Listened to some of the audio feed of the UWW - UWO game.  Those guys were pretty good.
Reality is for those who lack imagination 😀

MasterJedi

UWO stops UWW on 3 plays, 4th and goal on the 1. UWW kicks a field goal, UWW up 20-17 with 1:18 left in the game.

Lets go D!

MasterJedi

Interception in the endzone!!!!!! UWW wins!!!!!

In other news: as I thought before UWO is a very good team (I have them at #10) in my fan poll. It will be criminal if they don't get a Pool C bid to the playoffs.

Sakman 1111

Video of the game was fine.......Coppage the big run when it mattered.....great game!!!!.....

Down three with 1:15 left at your own 25. One timeout. The surprising choice (to me at least) on 1st-and-10 was fullback up the middle. Bummer that it didn't catch UWW by surprise.

Bummer all the way around for UW Oshkosh. Played well enough to win. This one is going to sting for a while, but it was fun to see so many fans at Titan Stadium.
