As an outsider (Linfield fan) I was impressed by Oshkosh's Defense today--I'm used to seeing Coppedge break big runs but except for the one at the end there, they kept him pretty well bottled up.  Good game to watch!

It as a beautiful day for football at Titans Stadium.  Sunny, the wind wasn't much of a factor.  It was a really fun game to watch.  I thought both teams played really well. I felt like UW-O more than held their own at the line of scrimmage and they executed their offense very precisely.  I don't think there are many teams they would have lost to today.  UW-W clearly had their hands full and, like they have done so often before, came through when it mattered.

Oshkosh had great success on the edges in the first half and UW-W adjusted and took that away from them for the most part in the second half.  It was great to see the UW-W defense pitch a shutout in the second half after UW-O took it to them pretty well in the first half.  Great game by UW-O. Great character win for the Warhawks.

Down three with 1:15 left at your own 25. One timeout. The surprising choice (to me at least) on 1st-and-10 was fullback up the middle. Bummer that it didn't catch UWW by surprise.

Bummer all the way around for UW Oshkosh. Played well enough to win. This one is going to sting for a while, but it was fun to see so many fans at Titan Stadium.

I was very surprised by that call as well.  They may have outsmarted themselves a bit on that one.  That may have been a decent risk to take if they had all three of their time outs, but VERY risky with only one left. I said after that play, "That's the exact play WE would have called in that situation if we had the ball right now."  Of course the difference being UW-W held the lead.  UW-O also used up their timeouts in an unusual fashion. They burned two of them when on defense right as UW-W was about the snap the ball.  They must have seen something very wrong to do that twice in such a close game.  Great game, though.

wow.....never watched a more nerve-racking game. and that includes the NCC game I was at last year in the playoffs.

I bet Oshkosh wished that hadn't burned two timeouts earlier in the second half. I think one was taken b/c a defender couldn't get off the field time. Like BP and odude said, that run up the middle was a head scratcher with a minute to go.

I don't think there's too many teams in DIII that Oshkosh could lose too....they were really good. I'll be very interested to see what happens to them if they win out their remaining games.

Great day for a football game....

Watched a bit of the UWW-UWO game.  I'm still surprised that the singular offense of UWO enjoys as much success as it does.  It's certainly effective, yet it is so singular.  On anither nite....The Titan TV video of the game was quite nice.  I liked the IPad application.  A credit to the communications department.

PS,  still hurting from the end of the EC game.  I'll drown my sorrows in the badger game :'(
Wait what's happening here....

Hats-off to the Titans. They played very well today and they deserve lots of credit. Very intense to watch, especially As a parent. While UWW came away with the win, there were several injuries that are concerning.  Will have to wait to hear, but one seemed serious.

Last thing for tonight, it would be shame if the Titans don't get a bid, they deserve it.

I was really bummed because my wife caught a cold and we cancelled our business trip to China...I got to watch the game, instead...it was well worth it...great D3 football game - great win for the Warhawks!! When it's all said and done, it's games like these that help define your season - tough game vs a tough, inspired opponent.  I saw the back of, I think, WarhawDad wearing a #66 road jersey in the stands when the camera panned before the second half. Was that you?  ;)

#65. The camera was right behind us.  It was a character win and now we have to continue to improve the last 3 regular season games.

Who got dinged up that game?

^^ Greg Arnold was only able to play 3 snaps; Overton was injuried at the play by the goal line; others? I'm not sure.

Yea, Overton was down for awhile...hopefully he's doing better. He did walk away under his own power, but who knows.
I thought Blanchard got hit very awkwardly on that goal-line play. Hopefully he's not what Wdad was was talking about. Hopefully Arnold is just still soar from his ankle and nothing more.

A lot of "hopefully's" in this post  ???

Starting Center Grant Poenitsch was injured in the first half and on crutches for the rest of the afternoon.
