Usually the FIB cars are easy to spot as they are almost always going way over 80. The plates on the car are not the factor, but when I'm speeding, badly, and every car that flies past me has ILL plates on them, well, I say they earn that attention.  8-)
So what your telling me is that paying out-of-state tuition gets me absolutely zero perks?     8-) ;D

It gets you a seat at the Perk on Saturday afternoons (or an occasional Friday night) and a tailgating spot most game days (except on homecoming!!) - but otherwise, no perks!!

Great tailgate yesterday..... great food and awesome company.....Coppage was simply terrific as he broke he record......he will be difficult to replace but there might be a light at the end of that tunnel.....
Another FIB coming north?  ;)

FIB standing for Fabulous Illinois (foot)Baller? Ain't no other kind associated with UW-W as far as this cheesehead is concerned! :)
8-) LOL, that's great.....em, now can we do something about the selective speed enforcement conducted by Wisconsin State Police on those with Illinois license plates? >:(.  Just joking  ;D

Are they back to doing this?

Yeah, that's the guy......right on route 12 almost to Lake Geneva, by Route 50 when I am headed north!    ;D

I wouldn't be surprised at all if retagent has something to do with the speed enforcement on the Ill plates in and around the Lake Geneva area.  He probably sits at the 19th tee at the Grand (or whatever the old Playboy Club is now called) and directs all the police efforts around 50 and 12!!

You hit it out of the ballpark! ;). I knew as soon as a laid that straight line out there that someone (most likely you) would jump all over it. Well done!  +k

Hold on, going over 80 mph is speeding?  But my odometer goes up to 160.

Ha, that was stupid.  I don't normally look for excuses, but let me tell you, yesterday was one of those days.  It quite literally ranks in my top 5 of "it's time to pack up and head for the mountains" days.  Anybody have one of those lately?

I will say that I've been given a pass by a WI state trooper twice in my WI travels.  The trick is to either have a cute dog or a cute girlfriend with you (ok, have at it).

Good read Bleed thanks.
The Franklin and Trine recaps reminded me of some of the talk around the DIII boards that UWW had been exposed.  The thought from some was the run was over for UWW.  In fact, those two games against elite passing teams showed not only the clamp down mentality of the UWW defense, it also showed how versatile/athletic the defense was as they adapted to each team.

Nice bp...you seem to come up with the right topic at the right time.  Hopefully, this week won't be an additional entry on that list!! ;)  I like blowouts better.  ;)  :D  ;D

From UWW's football homepage - do you think anybody realizes the football next to Blanchard fell off the bleacher?  Kind of messes up the symmetry of the captains row!!

Thanks BW, Emma, and Bobo.  I appreciate the kind words.

Emma,
I thought the same thing as I looked over the Trine and Franklin games.  Every year is different, each opponent provides a specific challenge, and each year's team must develop it's own personality.  But it's interesting to look over the course of a couple of years and see patterns develop. I have no doubt that we would find this same pattern all the way back to 05 if we looked back on it.  Whenever UW-W does anything other than blow out a team (a playoff opponent in particular), we see posts as to how vulnerable they are.  I think posters following teams that are next in line see how team A "hung" with UW-W and use it to build hope that their team can pull the upset.  Nothing wrong with that. Everyone should feel like their team has a chance.  But as they make their hopeful and sometimes brash posts, that won't help their team score when the UW-W defense rises up in the second half.  UW-W may be easy to criticize, but they are still awfully hard to beat.

It's also interesting how different teams take different forms.  Mount almost always wins by at least 5 TD's and when they don't everyone is trying to figure out what is wrong. UW-W usually plays teams closer, content to pound away and take few chances, confident they will make the plays to win the game in the second half.  It's an approach that seems dangerous until you realize that UW-W is in a different boat than Mount.  With all due respect to OAC fans, their conference simply isn't as physical or as good as the WIAC top to bottom.  If UW-W gets careless with the ball in conference play, they will lose. Obviously, I say this as a compliment to the WIAC not a slight to UW-W, but the gap simply isn't as big between UW-W and WIAC schools as it is between Mount and the OAC.  And in no slight to Mount,  if they were to endure the weekly physical pounding of a WIAC schedule, I don't think they run up as many blowouts they do in the OAC either.
