If you get to this in time, I was reading Triple Take and read under the Surprsingly close heading that you thought that the UWW v. UWL game was going to be close , but then said not that close and then wondered how close it would be if Coppage had to play in the 4th quarter.  I am not sure what you were really trying to say?  Help me out, please.

BP--your prediction of a Falcon win over EC is more credible considering that the RF qb, BJ LeTourneau, did not play in the first game.

Just Bill

NCAA.com doesn't seem to be posting the selection show links ahead of time this year. At least they didn't for soccer and volleyball. It just appears. Sometimes late.

I will get my first live look at the Warhawks today. Beautiful day for college football. I was hoping to attend with a UWW semi celeb, but he has other plans. More to come...

I've been out of town for work and noticed when I got back that that long time WIAC official Lou Pitt lost his battle with cancer earlier this week.  Lou was a no nonsense guy on the field and a lot of fun off the field.  My best to hsi family.

Least impressive game I've seen the Warhawks play in the last six years. Many reasons one could attribute it to: Playing a perennial rival, Already clinched  AQ, UWL was stoked because they were playing UWW, UWL wanted to look better after losing to then winless UWRF, looking forward to the playoffs.

At any rate, I'll give them a pass, but, this year could be different.

Scary thing!  You were right, it was close by score, but not really close.   I think! ???

Frankly speaking, getting through this game with a win and getting healthier (hope #79 is alright) was probably more important than earning style points. I certainly didn't care that it didn't look particularly pretty. In a related story, with an announced crowd of 6,237, looks like UWW will take over the top spot in DIII home attendance (if the math is correct).  The name of the team that use to hold that crown escapes me at this moment.  But, I think they held it basically forever or at least a long time.

I'm sure you would've been more entertained had your semi-celeb not declined your invite!!  ;)

Let's see....

UW-W more than doubled UW-L in total yardage.
They had no turnovers.
Their QB completed over 74% of his passes.
Their yards per play was 2 full yards more than UW-L.
They sacked UW-L's QB 3 times and were not sacked at all.
They beat their biggest rival and held them without a TD.
All of it playing this team for the second time this year.

Very gracious of you to give them a pass Retagent. I'm sure they really appreciate it.  But truthfully, if that is the least impressive you have seen them in the last 6 years, it speaks more to the run they've been on than it does how they played today.  ;)

Given all they've had to play through this year including a conference on the rise, I think it may be their most impressive undefeated season.
