Listening to the committee chair on the radio as I type this, it sounds like if Oshkosh hadn't lost that game to La Crosse, they would have made the playoffs with 2 losses - over some 1 loss teams - considering her response to why SJF made it with 2 losses.
It would have been nice to see where they would have been placed had they beaten LaCrosse....  Unfortunately, they just couldn't get the job done in OT.

Or in regulation. Plenty of chances.

Wow.  UWW fans can comfortably make their reservations for Salem right now.  No one in region will give you a game and none of the potential Semi-Final opponents have any kind of playoff history that makes one think they could go on the road and win on that big of a stage.

Like Mount fans have done the past couple of seasons?

02, I commented on Franklin because you said this first in a previous post:

I'm just shocked how this bracket turned out  :o Grant it, I'm already worrying playing about a potential second-round matchup against a much improved Franklin team.

I believe in playing it one game at a time and I have all the respect in the world for Albion. They are a conference champion and as such, will probably come to Whitewater expecting to win. They must be playing with a lot of confidence as a result.  Have they improved since losing to Stevens Point?  They better hope so & they know it.  But the comment above sure sounds like you were putting the 2nd round cart before the 1st round horse. But, that's only me - others might think differently.

After looking closer at Albion, they went 6-0 in its conference, but was also 0-4 in non conference games this year.

Correction 02, Mount fans have standing reservations in Salem year in, year out. They are not required to make reservations.  They're kind of like the guests that never seem to go away!!  ;) In their bracket of death, they might have to cancel reservations this year - NOT!! The Raiders will find a way to get back to Salem.  The more things change, the more they will stay the same (IMHO).

HSCoach is right, though, UWW's side of the bracket isn't as intimidating as it usually is. In hindsight, the Warhawks helped built their rep by going on the road (Linfield, Willamette, UMHB, Wesley, NCC) and winning over quality teams. Should be interesting this year.

HS no doubt this is a playoff bracket UWW is not accustomed to seeing with only one D3 top 10 team on it's side.  I have mixed feelings about it.  On one hand IF UWW can get through early round games, it may give them more time to get a bit  healthier and experience for the younger guys.  On the other hand, having played the likes of NCC, Wesley, Linfield, Trine (their offense was Stagg quality), Willamette and even MHB back in 2007 had to have helped them prepare for the Stagg Bowl.  If Mt makes it through, no doubt they will have been battle tested.

Well, first of all, definitely in the field. It's easy to consider them in instead of Illinois College, and maybe right in that spot in the bracket, since I believe the travel works. Or maybe at Monmouth's spot in the bracket, with Monmouth playing Wabash.

This is a quick guess, to be honest. Not fully thought through.

Posted my final Inside the Box Scores for my WIAC blog for this season.

I'll be sure to write a season wrap up a little later, and I'll cover the Warhawks as long as they keep winning this post-season.

As always thanks for reading.

You bitched a lot last year. I guess things even out. Just like in golf. Bad bounce here -good bounce there. You may be able to reat your starters until the semis. ;)

Sakman 1111

Bracket appears to be easier than the last few years for sure but semi final potential game against St. Thomas should be a great game. Warhawks know how to take them one at a time so lets Pound the Rock and monkey stomp Albion......

You know, the NCAA may have a heart.   Nah, probably not, but maybe they learned something from last year.  UWW got hosed last year and we all know it.  But a 2 time defending national champion that has gone undefeated and is ranked #1 in the nation has earned the right to have this bracket.  Now they have to go out and play like they want to defend that Championship.
