Weather has gotten better and looks like there should be no rain at all today! I'm ready for a double monkey stomp after all the close games today, Go Hawks!

LOL. Wow, we've gone from plain old monkey stomps to double monkey stomps.  ;D ;D

It's probably the only time UWW could get a double monkey stomp. If UWW plays Franklin again I seriously doubt it'll be another 45-0 thrashing and the farther you go in the playoffs the tougher the games will get. So I can hope for at least one doule monkey stomp.   8-) ;)

Glad it was a blow. Gave me the chance to watch a great IL-Wesleyan/Monmouth game. Momouth won in triple OT after IL-W fumbled on the goal line. Great game.

Sounds like a real barn burner in Whitewater today  :o Big for UWW to open with a game like this where they can rest starters a bit coming off the WIAC season grinder.

The UWW/Albion game had just about everything, except a Warhawk punt!!   ;)

Greg Arnold's pick, the second Warhawk INT in the first 6 plays for Albion, was a thing of beauty.

It took 7 Albion offensive plays for this game to essentially be over. Seven plays, 2 INT's and a fumble in 3:11 seconds. Brought back memories of that Wabash game in the snow and the NCC game from the playoffs a few years ago.  I think they started with a slew of turnovers, too, but not quite as fast as this.

A LOT of injuries for Albion on the day.  I believe their sideline area was being converted into a triage unit. It looked like a lot of leg (knee) injuries - and the QB Krauss was taking a beating all day until 1 hit finally knocked him to the sidelines, bent over and wobbly. Hope nothing is too serious.

The game was such a mismatch, it's really hard to take much out of it.  However, the two blocked FG's is unacceptable. Byron Standford is a load running the ball. Doesn't have the speed of Coppage, but is big and hard to bring down. Don't know if that was due to the Albion D just being worn down and Stanford having fresh legs, but he's a nice back. Still no Dez Ward - was #28 on the roster today?  Not real fair when you bring in the backup QB (Brekke) and he's a guy who led them to 5 playoff wins and the Stagg Bowl. That's something no other team has.

That was the earliest Victory Formation I can remember with about 2:30 to go in the game with UWW on the Albion 4 thanks to a 38 yard run by Colt Sweitzer and 5 yards on the first 2 downs. Brekke taking a knee on third & on fourth down prevented another score.

I wonder if the NCAA will look seriously at attendance as one factor when assigning home games in the later rounds.  Only 1,211 today - that's is absolutely awful. But, it is what it is.

Attendance at the Perk today was an absolute slap in the face to the Warhawk football team.  Just seven days ago we were singing the praises of Warhawk Nation for leading the nation at just over 8,000 a game at Perkins Stadium. 1,211 turn out at Perkins Stadium today with a temperature in the upper 40s in mid-November.  A national championship caliber team on the field - a peewee league group of fans staying home today!!  No Excuses - get you butt to the Perk next Saturday IF, and thats a big if, the NCAA decides to schedule the Franklin-UWW game in Whitewater.

From looking at box scores posted so far, only the IWU-Monmouth game drew over 2,000 and most games were between 1000-1500. Seems like nobody goes to these playoff games anywhere. Why?

I don't about the Monmouth-IWU game, but as far as the Whitewater game, A LOT of the casual fans were probably out in the woods for the opening day of the 9-day gun hunting season in the State of Wisconsin.....
