BoBo hopes the Whitewater offense is able to move the ball on the Salisbury staunch defense. Bobo wonders if the Warhawks will be able to throw the ball in inclement weather. Bobo is concerned that badgerwarhawk, 02 Warhawk and probably emma17 are all possibly worried to varying degrees. Bobo is worrried that the Salisbury fans coming to the Perk may have to parachute out of their airplane in the vacinity of The Perk (or face a long and expensive taxi ride). Bobo finds WarhawkGuard's sense of humor refreshing. Bobo thinks WarhawkDad just tells it like it is. BoBo feels bleedpurple and footballfan413 are as sharp as a tack can be. BoBo knows retagent is full of it!!  ;)  +k to all those mentioned, including the SU guys.

I hope it is messy and sloppy as hell out there on Saturday. Nothing would make me happier than having Salisbury pitching around a ball that resembles wet bar of soap.

Agreed! BoBo knows a great many things!

Salisbury facing Coppage. This will probably be the first time they get outrushed in a game, and by one guy. The best RB in the country (in D3). Sure, they will score a few times, somebody is going to miss a tackle once in a while, but the Hawks will NOT be stopped when they are on offense. The Gulls are in for a rude awakening. There, I said it. Was that too bold?

After reading about the greatness of Albion, and the potential firepower in almost undefeated Franklin, I am not believing the hype about the Gulls.

Remember that Coach Bullis (asst. D-Co UWW) worked against that offense everyday for about 15 years while at UW-RF.

BoBo's going third person on us!! The end of the world is near.

And - I do recognize my glasses, but I try, at least sometimes, to see things clearly. Good Luck to the Warhawks this weekend. I hope to be there.

413 thinks that this reminds her of all the worry about a certain play-off game in the winter of 07 in a blizzard at Perkins Stadium where a certain California QB threw 4 touchdown passes or the Ice Bowl back in 05 where the Warhawks skated rings around the Wolverines.   ;)  If 413 knows one thing, it's that the Wiscy/Illinois boys know how to play football in the winter.   ;) ;D

Ok, enough of the 3rd person.................I find it creepy!  8-)

Also Coach Dinkle was on the River Falls staff during that time.  So our staff is pretty familiar with the River Falls veer and we've played against the Oshkosh version of it this season.  That will give us somewhat of a background familiarity with that offense but none of those versions are the Salisbury version of it.  However I'm pretty sure the night lights have been on in the SAC and the staff has already spent a considerable amount of time watching video of Salisbury's version.  Hopefully we'll be prepared.

The strength of Salisbury's offense is rushing.  They average 362.7 yards a game.  The strength of WHITEWATER'S defense is stopping the run.  Only two of the twelve opponents we've faced have rushed for over 100 yards, Platteville (117) and Oshkosh (214).  The season average is 72.8 yards.  Salisbury had two players who have rushed for over 1000 yards.  No single player has rushed for 100 yards on the WARHAWK defense.  LaCrosse's Lee Lauters (89 yards) is the only player to approach it.

It's an intriquing matchup of strength against strength.

I will now return to worrying in silence.

In this PC world, I'll refrain from using this comment to allude to my school's all male rival.

Pat,
The Press Releases from the local media regarding those two schools made for some interesting reading. Especially the Albion ones. We here on the Wiscy board know better, but it sure gets interesting.

+k on the dlipn 3rd person Bobo- that's good stuff.

Truth be told, I'm not as worried this week as I am intrigued and respectful of the potential of the offense.  I marvel at the execution of a well run triple option- the time and repetition required to master this offense is immense.  That said, I think the UWW advantage is the UWW coaching staff.  I hope for dry conditions so both teams can play their best.

And we tailgaters can be at our best as well.  Better bring your, "A," game, 17.  I have missed the last two play-off games.   >:(  ;) 8-)

Bobo discovered the poster from the maroon "U" doing it and Bobo just wanted to test it out and see if BoBo could incorporate it into a new writing style. Other than giving considerable more attention to himself than he's worth and observing his name in print a whole lot more than he cares to see, Bobo sees no redeeming value in continuing this masquerade.

If truth be told, I'm almost as old as dirt, and writing in the 3rd person on a football message board is was #73 on my bucket list, between start a blog and get my daughter to clean her room. I guess I can cross off one today.  ;)
