WarhawkDad vs wesleydad

(what is the tale of the tape?)

Who would win in a cage match?

Who'd win at checkers?

Who'd win a rock-paper-scissors 7-match series?

who'd win in a drinking contest?

I guess we'll never know...!!   ;)

WarhawkDad, that time would make more sense if the Mount/Wesley game starts at 1200 est.  3.5 hours between start times would seem about right.

Voice is reporting a 2:30 kickoff on his website.

LOL  :)   Only Bobo would come up with that.

At 53, I would prefer the last three of the four options!

I coach HS in FL and the rule is the 10 yards from the 45 to 45 is supposed to be the "buffer zone" where neither team is allowed during warm ups.  Unfortunately, that rule is only enforced by the referees who normally don't come out as early as the teams do.

It wasn't during warmups.  It happened after warmups had been completed and the teams had come back out of the locker rooms to start the game.  Salisbury had come out and gone to their sideline.  Then surged onto the field in mass as we were gathered on the hawk logo in the middle of the field.  The officiating crew physically moved them back towards their sideline.  You could see that some of their players were chirping and gesturing at ours.

Nice to meet you too 413.

It was my understanding that in playoff games, neither team is supposed to mass at midfield. Both teams are supposed to go directly to their own sideline.

Is there any game film out there of UWW that is available?  Just wondering what type of offense the tommies will be going up against.

???

Have you watched a Stagg Bowl anyone of the last 6 years? It's the same offense. Names have been changed, but it's the same offense. It's a rather balanced offense overall.  ;)

Unfortunately the Stagg Bowl hasn't been all that interesting to the rest of D3 over the last 4 or 5 years. I imagine we'll get a steady dose of Mr. Coppage.

You can please some of the people some of the time...but...(thanks Honest Abe)

However, can't tell if the original question was just tongue in cheek or someone living with their head buried in the sand for the last 6 years.

Oh, good. Based upon your post, I guess if we ever get together, we'll be able to discuss the 2003 Stagg at length. ;D

No we can't because I was undercover that year and missed all of football. I wouldn't have much to offer in a discussion.

It was very nice meeting 413 for the first time....despite the crappy weather, we had a great time Saturday.

I didn't quite understand all the chirping the SU players were doing as UWW game out of the lockeroom. Seems to me they got a little in over their head in trying to trash talk to our boys...nice try  :P

Looking at the final four, I believe for the first time in awhile there isn't a clear-cut run-away favorite, but there should be on who's going to make it to Salem this year. I think both Wesley and St. Thomas have a great slight chance to knock off the purple powers this weekend. The Warhawks are going to be in a dog fight with St. Thomas just like they were against Linfield (2009) and NCC (2010). It's going to one of those types of game....which is expected considering it is the semi finals.

Let the two week-long worrying Virginia trip-planning begin   ;D

BoBo, not sure what would prompt that post, but since WarhawkDad and I are in the same age bracket, I would agree with him, but I am not much of a fan of checkers or rock, paper, scissors.  Now if we are going to have some real good micro brew beer for the drinking part I am in.  As far as the steel cage match would go, I am not sure if that would be fair since I do not know Warhawkdad's wrestling experience, but I am a wrestling coach.  Since I will be at the Stagg Bowl no matter what, I would be glad to share a good beer with WarhawkDad if he will be there, and you too if you are there.  I dont have issues with the UWW people just differ on opinion at times.

Did anyone notice the stats from the NFL yesterday where Pierre Garcon got 150 yards for the winless Colts? There's a name we all know.

I am disappointed that my projection of Coppage outgaining the Salisbury team didn't quite come to pass. If they hadn't gave up that 60 yd run at the end, he would have made it come true..
