With all the extra tailgating time I hope I'm still conscious for the game :D

I like the running yardage predictions from Bleed and WarhawkDad.  I also like the term "complimentary" passing game WarhawkDad used.  I get the feeling the UWW passing game makes a big attempt at tiring out a defense as it chases the short passes.

I imagine the first quarter will be much like the first couple rounds of a boxing match.
I was thinking the same thing................that you are conscious for the game, that is!   ;)

See you in the morning, Gentlemen.  Retagent, the invite still applies like last week, and KS as well.  Come over and introduce yourselves.
02, seems you are copping out and abandoning the tailgate party for the Coyote Grill.  A shame but get the Sante Fe Melt, (or southwest) can't remember what it is called, and the seasoned fries for me!  Best in Whitewater.  My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

GO WARHAWKS!  BEAT THE TOMMIES!  PACK THE PERK!

Go to bed already, you Warhawks, you! You gotta be ready for the big game tomorrow!  ;)

QuoteYes.  Like every year, there will be more photos and feature stories on UW-W and Mount Union for two full weeks after Saturday than most schools get in a lifetime, so they want to give props to other programs on the generic banner.  ;)

Yeah, well, I guess I was supposed to figure that out myself back in 2005 when I got suspended from these pages 10 days for, methinks, protesting too much, about the attention defending champion LINFIELD was getting.  The lack of coverage on the #1 team backfired when you took the game in McMinnville.

"Anyone else having a hard time concentrating on work or anything other than football today?"

Yeah me, I can't sleep.
If I'm this restless, I can only imagine how 02 is doing.  :)

Anyone else having a hard time concentrating on work or anything other than football today?   8-)    I have analyzed this game over and over and while I have a great deal of respect for the MIAC and the Tommies, I just have to go back to the the experience that UWW has in the playoffs and in close games.    Taking a look at last year, North Central (#3 Total D), Wesley (#1 in Total D) and Mount Union (#2 in Total D) had great defensive teams and UWW was able to utilize all offensive facets.  We did so with a second string quarterback.

Last year after 14 weeks our scoring defense was 6th in the country, this week we are 5th in the country.  Our defense this year is as good as last year's defense.

This year we go up against St. Thomas who is 3rd in total defense and #1 in rushing defense.  Point being that UWW managed to excel last year against teams with similar rankings in back to back to back games.   While I believe the game tomorrow will be very competitive, I believe UWW will come out on top.

As much as I hate to admit it, Warhawk Dad-I have to agree with you. The Warhawks experience and homefield advantage are enough to make them 8 point favorites in Vegas ::). I think the Toms (at least I hope they do) match up with them talent wise, but when you get to this point in the season experience can make a big difference. That being said, I think the Toms can show up and get away with a "w" if they protect the ball and are able to stay diverse offensively. More specifically, if Dakota Tracy can protect the ball and not throw any interceptions I think our odds increase.

All that said, I am looking forward to seeing how they stack up against this enormous challenge. I have the utmost respect for UWW and the program they have built. I camped there as a high school player and benefited tremendously from Coach Berezowitz (sp?) & staff's knowledge. Win or lose we will see how well UST is prepared to take the next step.

Best of luck to the Warhawks. May both teams get through the game injury free and may the winner come home from Salem victorious.

Departing Chicago in about an hour and fifteen minutes in eager anticipation of a great game!

That was a game for the ages! At least UW-W has gone out of their way to prove the Wildcats weren't the victim of a one-year wonder! In the meantime, the Cats' consecutive winning season streak rolls on!  ;)

Though I've been absent for awhile I will definitly be at the game today. Getting ready to freeze and watch the Warhawks get a hard fought win!  ;D

Though I don't see it happening I would love for a UWW blowout with the D coming up with a huge game.

Man, I wish this thing would kick off.  I don't think I can take it any longer.  Let's play football.

Thanks again 413. If I was king, I'd take up your offer. However, I'm bringing 5 others, and although I would guess you like that, since we will be doing our small part to fill the stadium, it is a democratic process. In fact, Fat Jack's has been chosen for the pre game get together. One of the gang is an Augsburg grad, so we may be cheering (silently - since it is St Thomas) for the Tommies, but the others are probably leaning in UWW's favor.

Good luck to both teams, and I hope we are seeing the eventual champs today, no matter the outcome. Great day for football.

3 1/2 hours to the showdown at the Perk... GO HAWKS.... Send that twin city team packing.....:)

What happened with Fox 32 picking up the game? Is that happening?

If you have an Xbox Live account, you can watch ESPN3 on your main TV with your Xbox. This is a new app that just came out with a software upgrade this week.

I didn't see the D3 games listed but they did have the higher division games scheduled so far.

C'mon Hawks!

Am watching the 1st game as I type. Pretty sweet & I don't have to fool with hooking my laptop up to the TV. I guess there was a reason to allow my son a live hookup!
