I have been watching ESPN2 all day and the ticker at the bottom for NCAAF has the Div.1 FCS semi-finals with times - but nothing on the game tonight. Thanks for nothing ESPN. Even if you are not a fan of either team make it a D3 football event. Remember that one day your team will be in the Stagg and you will want networks to cover it - lets give them some ratings so that can happen. If you don't watch the game thats fine - just turn it on. Maybe if the ratings are decent ESPN will stop moving the game to friday (a TV dead zone!) or moving to a smaller ESPN network so they can show some damn Poker tournament! Even if you not a fan of the teams playing - we are all fans of DIII football!

Unless you happen to be a Nielsen Ratings household this week, that won't do anything besides waste electricity.

Can't speak to the TV advertising, but The Network plugged the game many, many times during the D-I volleyball semis on ESPN3. Literally hundreds of volleyball fans online know it's on tonight, so there's that.

The ESPN NCAA FB page isn't much better. If you don't know what you're looking for, you'd have a hard time knowing that the Stagg Bowl was on The Network tonight let alone being played. You need to click around to even find it on the scoreboard page. Exhibit #266,827 for why D3football.com covers and cares about the game in our division like no one else, but I'm sure the Stagg will get a few minutes on SportsCenter.

Was basing that on the availability of stories. There are five NHL games tonight, one NFL game, no MBB top 25 games, two WBB top 25 games and a soccer game or two. That's a lot of time to devote to McQueary and Bonds. The Outside The Lines, CFB Gameday and Baseball Tonight crews would have to muster their best blustering skills.

I don't think that's true. I think UMU got a segment during their consecutive win streak. I think UWW got some attention the last few years for its long run in the Stagg Bowl.

If its two random teams every year, then ESPN would give it about 5 seconds. So, dominance by UMU and UWW has been good for D3 Football.
