Merry Christmas and +k to all, and to all a good night.   :)
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Merry Christmas WIAC friends.

Having just moved down to KC from the Twin Cities, a family at church picked up some Wisconsin cheese curds for us for our first Christmas in the area. Oh so good, and reminded me of the small evidences of God's common grace that even come out of a place like Wisconsin  ;)

Seriously though, Merry Christmas! And thanks for perfecting (if not inventing) squeaky cheese curds  ;D

Heard a rumor last night (It's only a rumor from a WW fan) that Coach Leipold is being considered for the QB Coach at Wisconsin.  The other name that has come up is former UW QB Brooks Bollinger.  Anyone got any more info?

Around this time of the year Lance is usually rumored on taking another job. I haven't heard of this one (or any others)....yet.

Chryst held dual titles of offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.  Bielema has publically stated that he intended to fill Chryst's position from within.  Bob Bostad was the logical choice though he is leaving with Chryst so that rules him out.  Bielema hasn't indicated what plan B is.

2011 UW-Oshkosh football players Justin Budiac (SB), John Nicholas (OT) and Vince Sciano (DE) played in the All-American Bowl in Minneapolis, Minn which took place December 17th at the Metrodome. The rosters were made up of DII, DIII and Semi-Pro players. I reviewed the roster and didn't see any other WIAC players listed. I was not able to see a box score with statistics. Anyone else ever hear of this game before?

Here's an interesing post from the OAC board, from what looks like an ex-player.

We started to see signs of this when UWW beat UMU back in 2007. LK's son acting a fool and Garcon not shaking hands.

The reason I brought this to the WIAC board's attention is b/c this is one of my biggest fears as a UWW fan. I just hope the Warhawk coaching staff, players and fans can handle/control its success in years to come. When they eventually begin to lose, and come back down to earth, this is the last type of stuff I want to hear about or witness. I know this is probably a small sample size of UMU fans, but still...it's somthing I don't want to see at UWW.

I think that's why I don't take winning for granted each week...hence me being nervous about most games. I'm trying my best to NOT become "that" type of fan.

Agree, 02.

Someday, the streak will be broken.  Someday, the Warhawks will fall short of the big trophy.  Someday, they will not win the WIAC.  I hope that the current success continues for more years, but I remain aware that the scenery changes every year and nothing is guaranteed.

That is why I feel it is important to enjoy every morsel of a championship season.  If there is still a drop of championship gravy on the plate, give me a slice a bread so I can sop up every last bit.  These are special, special things which cannot be expected but should be savored completely when they occur.
