Dear Friends, I hope you will forgive me for using this platform for a personal plea but it is the off-season, after all, and the winning school can get a visit from a Packers player . Please follow the link and vote for my daughter-in-law's school, Park View Middle School in Mukwonago, WI., by clicking on the LIKE button for the #3 video, "Cooking With Triple Threat Chefs!" You can vote multiple times from different devices! Computer, ipad, smartphone, work computer, etc! They are leading as of this morning, let's help put them over the top!  Thanks, Guys.  :-*

Update:  My e-mail, facebook and D-3 football boards campaign began 24 hours ago and as of this morning, they are now up by 188 votes!!!  Coincidence? I think not!   ;)  As we say in Chicago, "Voter early, vote often."
So who are you guys picking to win the Super Bowl?  I say Giants in a close one.  DEFENSE wins another championship!   8-)

Anybody see game details/score from this "Players All-star Classic" being played for the first time down in Arkansas? Blanchard was one of the North's QBs. Seems Matt was having some trouble simply getting started under center during practice sessions early in the week, as explained in THIS scouting report:

"Right from the start of practice, Matt Blanchard struggled to take the snap from under center. In warm-ups, footwork drills, and 9-on-7's, if you saw a fumbled snap, you could pretty much bet it was Blanchard. Matt ended up botching double digit snaps. When he was able to secure the snap, you saw a timing quarterback that struggled to drive the football downfield; simply does not have an NFL caliber rifle. Shows polished feet in the quick pass tree and good placement underneath, but I'm very skeptical of his prospects as an NFl guy; more of a CFL, AFL type of guy."

Tanney from Monmouth had some nice things said about him further down the page.

A quick 'net search indicates the final score is a well kept secret...if anyone finds it, pleez post!!  ;)

I'm also very interested what kind of game South kicker Long Ding from Norwich had!!

North won 24-19

Blanchard had a TD pass right before half.

Long Ding had 4 field goals ;D

Good to hear he got his snap bug-a-boo from earlier in the week cleared up (or at least for at least one play ;) ). Haven't seen a box score; hope he was happy with his play!! - and UWW, the WIAC and D3 got some good PR out of the game.  ;)

I haven't seen any specifics but a notation in the Wisconsin State Journal stated that he played "well."  Of course that could be based solely on the fact that he threw a touchdown pass.

Yeah, I'm going to wager the WSJ didn't do any deep investigative analysis to come up with that detailed description.  ;)

It is nearly impossible to get good intel on these all-star games. That's a big part of the reason why they don't get much coverage from us. We can write something in the build-up but never be able to follow-through.
