Dear Friends, I hope you will forgive me for using this platform for a personal plea but it is the off-season, after all, and the winning school can get a visit from a Packers player . Please follow the link and vote for my daughter-in-law's school, Park View Middle School in Mukwonago, WI., by clicking on the LIKE button for the #3 video, "Cooking With Triple Threat Chefs!" You can vote multiple times from different devices! Computer, ipad, smartphone, work computer, etc! They are leading as of this morning, let's help put them over the top!  Thanks, Guys.  :-*

Though in the wake of the news out of Naperville this is probably the last thing the Cardinal family is thinkign about: North Central has both UW LaCrosse (@ NCC) and UW Stout (@ Stout) on their schedule for 2012. How are both teams looking for 2012?
You win! You always do!

It is nearly impossible to get good intel on these all-star games. That's a big part of the reason why they don't get much coverage from us. We can write something in the build-up but never be able to follow-through.
You are so right but I just stumbled upon a few tidbits regarding the game, however.  Helps that we live so close to Matt's hometown of LZ.    Here are the links;

Looks like Matt's TD pass was one of only two throw the entire game.  It is my understanding that Matt and his family are very pleased with his opportunity as well as his performance in the game and the week leading up to it, overall. ;)  Best of luck to Matt!

Oak Park River Forest High School has provided the Warhawks with some excellent players over the past few years.....Sakellaris,Coppage,and Ford to name a few.....This weeks Sports Illustrated has an exemplary article about OPRF's wrestling coach Mike Powell which is simply an amazing article about an amazing man.......

UWW is getting a strong WR with decent size from Delavan this fall. Looks like he was a dang good wrestler too.

Cool, a receiver w a wrestler's mentality- I like him already.

Not sure if any of the 271 residents here are athletes, but they, and the rest of the UWL students and campus, will be affected by a Jan. 29 dorm fire that has forced the 271 to relocate from their dwellings for the rest of the semester...

Fortunately, nobody was hurt in the fire, which occurred in the basement; the cause has yet to be determined, but damages were enough to shut the dorm down... Students are tripling up in dorm rooms, living with professors and off campus friends, and in motel rooms...

What's neat about this, and why I'm posting it, is the unexpected support the students have received from across the state - notably from UW-Oshkosh and UW-River Falls, who, as WXOW TV19 reports, have sent care packages - cookies, candy, stress relief toys - to UWL resident assistants for distribution...

The head coach of the Comets is Steve Tenhagen a former WARHAWK receiver.  Tenhagen caught passes from Tony Romo in high school.

Per footballscoop.com:

"Wisconsin Whitewater (D-III): We have been hearing for weeks that there was a huge number of applicants for this one. Sources tell us that H.T Kinney, former run game coordinator / tight ends coach at Liberty (FCS) and offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach at Nicholls State (FCS), will be named quarterbacks coach / recruiting coordinator."

H.T Kinney was a 4 year starter at QB for UW-Platteville.  His Pioneer years would've made him play for Coach George Chryst & also played against LL for at least 1 year and possibly two in the mid-80's.

H.T. Kinney Liberty University (VA) bio

H.T. Kinney Nicholls State (LA) bio

So, before jumping to any conclusion, this is what's being reported on the footballscoop site. With their track record, I would consider it a done deal. They don't have "scoop" in their name for nothing!! This hasn't been reported on any UWW football site I have seen, official or fan (or d3football.com  ;)  Will this hire broaden the recruiting scope/reach of the Warhawks? Only time will tell...
