Been off the pp for awhile, hope everyone is well! How did UWW do for fall recruiting? :)

Hello 68,
Like Bobo said we've heard about and read about some interesting recruits, but nothing is certain until camp opens. I know one thing, in my neck of the IL woods UWW football is a popular subject. I talked w an old high school friend last night that has a son that wants to give UWW a shot- but there's a good chance he won't get the invite- there is a limit on how many can try out.

emma17,

When a school wins several championships, recruting takes on a whole new meaning. Why not go to a school that has a really good chance to win a title, plus play a 15 game season. That makes all the difference, IMHO! :)

Mt would surely know about that.  I'm amazed at the awareness now that exists around here.  Not too long ago it was 5 minute discussion just to tell someone who UWW was.  Now, the talk isn't who is UWW, the name and caliber is a known and kids are wondering if they can even play at that level.  Who would have thought?

My parents live in Rapid City, South Dakota and recently a rep from a moving company was touring their home for the purpose of submiting a bid.  The gentleman saw a collage of action pictures of #33 and said, "Oh, Whitewater.  They're are the ones winning all those championships.  I watch them every year on ESPN."  Needless to say, my father enjoyed filling him in on his grandson's football career.  ;)   BTW, another round of tests last month showed a continued, clean bill of health!   ;D ;D ;D

That's great news 413.

Will he be back on the Craig sideline again this year?

Thanks, BW.  As of now, yes, he is on the staff and wants to continue as their DC but while still needing a few more classes to finish his masters, he will have his teacher's certification in math completed in May.  That means he can, as his wife says, "get a big boy's job."   ;) So a lot will depend on where and if he gets a full time teaching job starting in the fall and his ability to still be close enough to Janesville.

I was just relieved when he signed with the Redskins.  You may have heard, the BEARS were looking for a WR.   ;) ;D  Oh and speaking of WR's, Donald Driver had some serious moves last night on DWTS!   ;)

If he knows of anyone, and I'm sure he might, I doubt he would steer them to the enemy - if they had any potential, that is!!  ;)

If they all show up for fall practice I would say recruiting has gone very well.

I hope the mover got your parent's business- that sort of D3 knowledge should be rewarded ;)

Recruiting has gotten out of control. I have it on good authority that Coach Emendorfer has been conducting a home visit with this recruit for the last 18 consecutive years.

Hi Raider 68 and everyone,

I have been on a non-intended hiatus as well.  I hope all are doing well.

I cannot really add to what others' have said about recruiting.

BUT:
I am currently in the early stages of a project that I believe will really add to the enjoyment of following UW-W (and hopefully D3 football in general).  It will involve a website in which I will have access to LL and others in the program. I will do some writing and I am also looking at an interactive section (possible Q and A?) for D3 posters and much more!

The good news is it will start sooner rather than later.  I'm hoping to have updates (possibly slowly at first) beginning before Easter and continuing right up to the season.  Then, hopefully, we will have a GREAT season covering at enjoying Warhawk football!

I think that's enough of a tease for now.  But I will have more information for you very very soon!

GO HAWKS!
