I want to take a minute to thank everyone who visited me over the past couple weeks following my colon cancer surgery at Fort  Atkinson Memorial Hospital.  A special shout out to D3football.com chat room veteran Badger Warhawk for his hospital visit... thanks John!!!

I'm now home after being discharged from the hospital on Saturday.

I now face an initial round of radiation treatments.

I'm planning on spending the summer writing on Warhawkfootball.com and Voiceseyeonfootball.blogspot.com with my primary job of being a good patient with a great attitude and work hard to get better.
I was privy to this news, Voice, but was waiting for it to become public!  Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you as you take on this latest health challenge!  I remember it began as a very sad day when we went to the hospital for my son's first chemo treatment.  After a few hours, I turned to him and said, "this stuff is now our best friend and your best weapon."   "This is how you're going to kick it's ass!"  Best wishes for a speedy recovery, my friend!   :-* :-* :-*
"Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!"  Dennis Miller

"Three things you don't want to be in football, slow, small and friendly!"  John Madden

"You can learn more character on the two-yard line than anywhere else in
life." Paul Dietzel / LSU

Brian Carroll

Best wishes to Voice for a speedy and complete recovery.

"For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds," says the Lord. (Jeremiah 30:17)

You will be in our prayers Tommie P.......praying for a successful recovery for you.....stay strong......

Greetings.
Have not followed the board the last couple months, so is there fear the 2 game WIAC round robin, or whatever the heck the budgets want to call it, is going to effect SOS this year?

As much as I don't like it, I think it'll slightly help the SOS. Rather than UWW playing another NAIA game, at least this non-conference WIAC game will go towards our SOS.

QuoteAlright, folks -- Stony Brook can reach the CWS? Don't want to hear any excuses from #d3fb about not being able to beat UWW and MTU

Destroyed so bad they are now known as the Dead Poets!!  ;)

Took this from the game story from the link:

"Only 24 hours after arriving in Ireland, there were few signs of jet lag as the visitors scored nine touchdowns against a determined Limerick team that scored on a blocked extra point returned almost the length of the field for two points."

Too funny ~~

I've actually been to Limerick a couple times, once in the late 70's and then 2001...it's beautiful like the whole of Ireland with a really good night life for a city about the size of La Crosse. Listened to some good bands and quirky comedians. Hopefully, that's part of the culture the team is able to experience. Saw my first badger outside of a zoo not too far from Limerick.

I agree...my wife and I were there last month.

Can't wait to go back.

So how does this tour and these games impact the NCAA from a practice and play standpoint?   Is this in lieu of spring practice?

Just wondering.

Get well Tom, your are essential to Warhawk Football, especially getting information out to those of us that are not immediately in the Whitewater area.

Tom we are all pulling for a full recovery. Your support of the program has no doubt contributed to the success- thanks for all you do.

Doesn't affect the fall schedule or spring practice. Teams can have an additional 10 padded practices before going on one of these trips, which is why you can only do them once every three years.

What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!
