I've have enjoyed reading the Windy City Gridiron Blog since Matt Blanchard was signed by the Bears. The Blog breaks down the Bears' quarterback situation and has some interesting thoughts on Matt.

Here is an excerpt from the article: The Bears would love to have a young guy that they can develop and have around for years, and stashing Blanchard on the practice squad would be ideal, but could they get him there? If the Bears elect to keep McCown they would have to expose Blanchard to the other 31 teams via the waiver wire. If he makes it through, they could then add him to the practice squad. If he's claimed it's bye bye Blanchard.

It has been rather refreshing that La Crosse fans are getting excited over Eagle football.
LAX Tribune published a story today on the Eagles first day of practice yesterday...

Breaking News .... 500  Willie Warhawk bobbleheads will be given away as part of UW-Whitewater's home opener Sept. 15 vs. Buffalo State. It will be National Champions Day and the 2011 D3 national championship team will be honored. Lets plan to "Pack the Perk" and have 10,000 plus in the stadium for the non-conference game.

How the hell do you change the color of the glow so that it will show purple?

WILLIE WARHAWK bobbleheads

1. Edit your post.
2. Insert purple after [glow=

It defaults to red if you don't change it.  You just need to change it to purple.

It would appear that the glow feature has been disabled in this format (at least on my computer)...or there's another piece to the puzzle.

Sept 15th,  not 16th.

Also happens to be the birthday of a certain plumbing fixture seen on these boards.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

A football coach who finds winning hard because he can't learn where to go or turn on a light...yea right!  ;)  What's next?  Pro players blaming their bed for a sore back? What's this world coming to?

voice's diabolical plan has been foiled...confuse everyone on the date so he can pick up a truck load of bobbleheads for himself. The birthday 'sink to the rescue.   ;)

Well, look at this, some pro players are crying about not sleeping in their own beds.  :o

He was asked, "what made his second year at the helm easier than the first, he didn't start his answer by talking about X's and O's."

Working unfamiliar technology and moving around a new campus?  I totally get it.  Let's hope he, "finds winning hard," but given another season or two digging the Eagles out of that hole they are in, I am not expecting it.   ;)

It would appear that I'm in the minority here but I really do expect LaCrosse to be vastly improved.  They have a tough schedule starting out with four straight on the road and the conference schedule but I think they'll surprise people.  I definitely see them finishing over .500 by a game or two.

I think they will be improved too, but looking at their schedule....yeesh!!! Two against Oshkosh, @ NCC (I'll be in town for this game), @ a DII school, @ Eau Claire...not to mention Whitewater to end the season.

It'll be tough for them to get to .500, but I suppose if things go their way it could be possible.
