Dez Ward is the lone returnee from last year.

Does this mean that Edgar Wright is no long with the team? Is he still in school, or will he transfer and try to play elsewhere?  Do you have any other information about players transferring out of the program and where they might be going?

I see where former Warhawk RB from 2 years ago Levi Johnson (River Falls) is on the Dubuque roster. It lists him as a Soph - he must've sat out a year. I think he played in 3 games early in that season - 5 carries 11 yards.

Edgar got hurt in camp. They had moved him to a fullback prior to the injury.

Thanks for the update W'dad . . . do you know if it's a season ending injury? Tough break with all the quality backs in camp.

It has been rather refreshing that La Crosse fans are getting excited over Eagle football.
LAX Tribune published a story today on the Eagles first day of practice yesterday...

UWL is still trying to get back to the top for the first time since early in 2007 WIAC season.

La Crosse hasn't recovered since blowing an 18 point, 4th quarter lead in Whitewater's dramatic comeback win in La Crosse on September 27, 2007.  The game has become known as the COMEBACK. If you want to relive the highlights of that game simply click on the following link:

More specifically....they haven' t recovered since AJ took the head their QB that game....right ff413?!

I am waiting to see if he'll submit my question to LL in his "ask the coach" column.

McCown isn't that impressive in his two series so far...I don't want to tell the Bears coaching staff what to do, but PUT #4 in the game!!

Kirk Cousins is doing the job for the Redskins.

Maybe they'll put in Blanchard to run the 2 minute offense.

Last EDIT:  They do and he complets his first pass for 7 yds at the 2 minute warning.

He gets the bears in fg range and the bears to take the lead! 35 seconds left

Skins were blitzing all over the place and he hung in there and got it done (3-9 passing (1 dropped, a couple poorly thrown, 1 batted down) 41 yards).

Bears defense has to hold for :24 to make it all worth it.

Bears win behind blanchard's game winning drive, which lead to a field goal.

Matt can do this.  I've seen countless young QB's fold and look erratic as can be under far less pressure than Matt just experienced.  We'll see if the Bears realize what they have.  My guess is that they do.

Matt Blanchard's only action tonight was on the Bears final possession of the game. Bears trailed 31-30 with 2:04 left starting at Chicago 20. Matt completes just 3 of 9 passes however his completions were for 7, 15 and 19 yards. After completing the 19 yarder to the Washington 39 yard line with 1:16 left Matt threw three consecutive incomlete passes. Robbie Gold however kicks the game-winning 57 yard field goal with 31 seconds left. Matt's stats: 3 of 9 for 41 yds 0 TDs 0 INTs
