Interesting paragraph from an article from the Chicago Tribune that I saw in the Kenosha News.

"Josh McCown will get ample opportunity to state a case for himself when he should get extensive playing time against
Cleveland. The Bears could carry three veteran passers on the roster or elect to go with Cutler, 29, and Campbell, 30, and
add a young player to the practice squad, which can be formed beginning Saturday."

Who's rooting for McCown to play like he's been playing? Food for thought.

You guys are closing in on 50% of the number of posts on the MIAC board. Let's rev it up!

BoBo

The bears would be absolutely stupid & prove their cluelessness to keep McCown on their roster. But, you know what? They're the bears, so they probably will.   :o

WIAC quality posts compute to 50% more than on the MIAC board!

QB Matt Blanchard, who was cut loose by #Bears, is working out for #Dolphins today. Interesting to see what happens.

Are you tying to say 3 consecutive pages of stupid jokes that have nothing to do with football don't count at quality posts?  ;)

Article on Puget Sound Football recruiting nationally to try to improve and a commenter takes it as the place to cry about trying to compete with "so-called" D3 schools in Wisconsin.

5 years ago this guy would be complaining about Mount Union being in D3 and how they should "move up".  Pure loser talk.

I hadn't heard about Timm- that's horrible news as he is excellent. As deep as we are, he will be missed.

Thanks for homework on roster Bobo- that's a whole lot of change in the underclass ranks.

Thats Great news for Blanchard. If he doesn't get signed to someone else's 53 man maybe the Bears take him on PS.

That comment was from YOU WAS IT NOT?!?!?!   ;)

I ref'ed a couple of Milw Riverside games when Ryan Givens was RB there.  He was so head and shoulders above the lesser MPS teams they were up against is was laughable.  Very curious to see him - although the Illinois State website said he converted to defense after an injury took a whole year away from him, so not sure where he is at development wise.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

It's one of the never ending topics in D3.

From what I am hearing, he is doing VERY well.

Story in the Royal Purple about RB Josh Williams.  http://royalpurplenews.com/?p=7449

I'm thinking maybe Warhawkdad got to have his way with a revamped Warhawk offense this year. Here is a portion of the article:

"The offensive line returns three starters and will look to build on a promising 2011 campaign.

Whether it's Williams or one of the other potentials who blocks for this returning offensive line, Williams said it's a privilege to even have the opportunity to fill the shoes of players who have left a winning tradition behind."

So in the new offensive attack, the running backs block for the O-Line.  Prepare for THAT, WIAC!  :D

One of the things I'll be looking at tomorrow night will be what the rotation will be at taiback for Willie Warhawk. I expect to see no less than four TBs to see action out of the tailback rotation.

At wide reciever I'm looking to see what  kind of impact Jake Kumerow will have at WR. I just posted an article on the transfer from the University of Illinois where he played in seven games last year as a Redshirt Freshman.   I also posted an article on Matt Blanchard working out for the Dolphins earlier today down in South Florida. (BTW: No information yet on Matt's tryout. If you remember Matt worked out for Miami prior to this year's NFL draft. I've been told that Miami was going to invite Matt to its rookie camp but the Bears beat the Fish wiht its invitation.

LOL...yeah, big number 65 told me he hopes to get about 15 carries tomorrow night!!!   Actually from my perspective the one two punch of Dez Ward as a pounding physical runner and then Givens as a slashing, great lateral move and fast runner is going to cause defenses problems.    The Warhawks have so many offensive options.   3 different strong ball catching tight ends in Serdar, Junnikin and Davis, a great fullback in Tamsett, many talented wide receivers.    I think this is going to be fun.
