Story in the Royal Purple about RB Josh Williams.  http://royalpurplenews.com/?p=7449

I'm thinking maybe Warhawkdad got to have his way with a revamped Warhawk offense this year. Here is a portion of the article:

"The offensive line returns three starters and will look to build on a promising 2011 campaign.

Whether it's Williams or one of the other potentials who blocks for this returning offensive line, Williams said it's a privilege to even have the opportunity to fill the shoes of players who have left a winning tradition behind."

So in the new offensive attack, the running backs block for the O-Line.  Prepare for THAT, WIAC!  :D

One of the things I'll be looking at tomorrow night will be what the rotation will be at taiback for Willie Warhawk. I expect to see no less than four TBs to see action out of the tailback rotation.

At wide reciever I'm looking to see what  kind of impact Jake Kumerow will have at WR. I just posted an article on the transfer from the University of Illinois where he played in seven games last year as a Redshirt Freshman.   I also posted an article on Matt Blanchard working out for the Dolphins earlier today down in South Florida. (BTW: No information yet on Matt's tryout. If you remember Matt worked out for Miami prior to this year's NFL draft. I've been told that Miami was going to invite Matt to its rookie camp but the Bears beat the Fish wiht its invitation.

The Wash U game may not be a coming out party for any of the receivers.   If the forecasted wind and rain appear Friday night, this game may look like something from 1910 - ground and pound - which will be a definite advantage for the Warhawks (as if they needed any advantages).  Safe travels to all heading to St. Louis.

D O.C.

Just a shout to the DNC (?) and the rest of the round robins.
Safe and sane season, please.

I was surprised to see the Ryan Givens is only a sophomore (after transfering from ISU). I heard a lot of good things about him coming out of training camp. He's a quick one.

Also look out for Jake Kumerow (6'5") at WR. He's turned some heads in camp as well.

The staff is very pleased with this years freshman class, there's a lot of young talent there.

Besides Kumerow, what other freshman have you heard had a good camp and might be in the mix for playing time? I liked what I saw of RB's Josh Williams, Dennis Moore and Nick Patterson on tape. LB Ricky Valadez out of Chicago, looked like a real head knocker on the tape I saw too. Do you know how the QB's line up after Brekke? Interested to see the freshman Aussie punter, also. Although, it would be nice if he didn't have to punt all too often!! Those guys are known to have very strong legs.

UWW has had many good receivers come through with various skill sets. One of my favorite all time was Adam Brandes- his height, hands, leaping ability and overall skills are a rare combination. Between Kumerow and the other tall freshman receiver- maybe UWW gets that weapon going again.

Adam was fun to watch...he made catches worthy of ESPN

The UW-Whitewater student newspaper, the Royal Purple has published an "interesting" column on the state of Warhawk football and where the program may be heading.

It must be that time of year again!!  ;)

It states:

"The only thing standing in UW-Whitewater's way of moving up a division is money."

It's going to take more than just money. The writer must not know about a certain state law that prevents it from happening.

Well sports fans....Friday is finally here!!!

There's a storm brewing in St. Louis and it has nothing to do with Isaac.

I'd never make it as a mail carrier-Isaac has convinced me to stay home for this game.

How about some Prop bets?
Rushing yards for Givens?
Rushing yards for Ward?
Passing yards for Brekke?
Will Tamsett get a carry?
Who will be second QB to enter game (after Brekke)?
Total # of passes?

It's Friday, WHOOOOOOOO![/Ric Flair]  ;)

Get done with this 10 hour day and finally some UWW football! I'm giddy already!  ;D

Anyone know where I can find a video link from NCC for the game tomorrow, or if there will be one available?  I've tried searching but haven't found anything, it seems that they have video links for all there other games though.

No video link...just live stats and audio. Because of the holiday weekend, some games aren't providing a video feed this weekend. Schools are "tech"nically closed.  ;D

Media links for all WIAC games this weekend

Interesting lineup for the Hawks.

No Cortez (LB)
No Morris (WR)
No Huber (WR)
Kindler punting and kicking

Hopefully it's nothing serious and they're just be extra cautious with the weather and bye week next week.

BoBo

Rushing yards for Givens?   18 carries / 122 yds
Rushing yards for Ward?     14 carries / 112 yds
