I'm thinking maybe Warhawkdad got to have his way with a revamped Warhawk offense this year. Here is a portion of the article:

"The offensive line returns three starters and will look to build on a promising 2011 campaign.

So in the new offensive attack, the running backs block for the O-Line.  Prepare for THAT, WIAC! 

One of the things I'll be looking at tomorrow night will be what the rotation will be at taiback for Willie Warhawk. I expect to see no less than four TBs to see action out of the tailback rotation.

At wide reciever I'm looking to see what  kind of impact Jake Kumerow will have at WR. I just posted an article on the transfer from the University of Illinois where he played in seven games last year as a Redshirt Freshman.   I also posted an article on Matt Blanchard working out for the Dolphins earlier today down in South Florida. (BTW: No information yet on Matt's tryout. If you remember Matt worked out for Miami prior to this year's NFL draft. I've been told that Miami was going to invite Matt to its rookie camp but the Bears beat the Fish wiht its invitation.

The Wash U game may not be a coming out party for any of the receivers.   If the forecasted wind and rain appear Friday night, this game may look like something from 1910 - ground and pound - which will be a definite advantage for the Warhawks (as if they needed any advantages).  Safe travels to all heading to St. Louis.

I was surprised to see the Ryan Givens is only a sophomore (after transfering from ISU). I heard a lot of good things about him coming out of training camp. He's a quick one.

Also look out for Jake Kumerow (6'5") at WR. He's turned some heads in camp as well.

The staff is very pleased with this years freshman class, there's a lot of young talent there.

Besides Kumerow, what other freshman have you heard had a good camp and might be in the mix for playing time? I liked what I saw of RB's Josh Williams, Dennis Moore and Nick Patterson on tape. LB Ricky Valadez out of Chicago, looked like a real head knocker on the tape I saw too. Do you know how the QB's line up after Brekke? Interested to see the freshman Aussie punter, also. Although, it would be nice if he didn't have to punt all too often!! Those guys are known to have very strong legs.

UWW has had many good receivers come through with various skill sets. One of my favorite all time was Adam Brandes- his height, hands, leaping ability and overall skills are a rare combination. Between Kumerow and the other tall freshman receiver- maybe UWW gets that weapon going again.

No video link...just live stats and audio. Because of the holiday weekend, some games aren't providing a video feed this weekend. Schools are "tech"nically closed.
