Who's coming out to the Perk Saturday? Looks like it's going to be a beaut of a day.

75 degrees and sunny

I will be there.

Oh, very cool. How early you plan on coming?

You're welcome to stop by our tailgating area for an Italian Suasage.

Thanks. I'm flying to O'Hare on Friday because I got a great fare a couple months ago. Then I'll be seeing Albion play Benedictine in the evening.

It's so hard for me to drive to Whitewater for a regular season game. The rest of the site suffers because I spend so much time driving.

Ok cool, so you'll be in Lisle on Friday. Which gives you no excuse on why you can't get to Whitewater reasonably early on Saturday ;), as it's just a 2 hour drive right up Route 12.

I wouldn't mind meeting up. I usually tailgate (along with a bunch of us UWW fans from this site) in the northwest corner of the Perkins Stadium Parking lot. I'll keep an eye out for.

Hey, 02, don't be surprised if I swing over for a quick hello.  My two in college are spending the afternoon at the Perk with their old man since he gets a year older on Saturday.  Been too long since that St Thomas game!!
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

We'll be there in the same area that we were last year next to Warhawkdad.  Feel free to stop by everyone.  Will bring plenty of Bloody Mary mix.   ;)

Re: Josh Williams.

Around the Midwest this week features an article about Scottie Williams.  The article makes clear that the main reason for Josh's transfer was to re-unite with his older brother, whom he admires tremendously.

Sounds like a solid politically correct reason to keep everyone happy.

Good for Elmhurst though, they should have a good running attack the next four years.

Maybe, maybe not. I've known several guys who had a hard time in camp prior to their freshman year. A few stuck it out and had great careers. A few ended up transferring and had great careers. A few just vanished. But there was a legit homesickness to it in all of the cases. They either wanted to be closer to family or realized when they ended up on campus that the school they'd chosen wasn't feeling like the home they'd anticipated it being for four years. That sorta thing happens. And its no indictment of the player(s) or the program(s) involved. Just how things shake out at times. Bottom line, none of us was having personal conversation with Mr. Williams regarding his decisions so we don't really know.

Anyway, I'm sure UWW will find a way to survive without him  ;) And hopefully he finds success at contentment at Elmhurst.

I agree -- other than getting a reasonable amount of sleep I have nothing keeping me in Chicagoland in the morning. I've even made that drive before -- I flew from D.C. to Whitewater for a quarterfinal against St. John's, if I remember correctly.

Very sorry to hear Josh Williams (RB) is gone......he would have been a good one......opens up a spot next year for another FIB stud hopefully....

I was sorry to hear he left as well.  I mostly feel like it's a missed opportunity for Josh.  I always feel like staying with a commitment and fighting through adversity is so good for a young man's character development.  Deciding to transfer after the first year is one thing.  Leaving a couple days after training camp breaks is something else altogether.  I'm not judging him or his decision, just generally speaking, that's how I feel.  I wish him well and hope things work out for him at Elmhurst.

As far as UW-W is concerned, I believe they will be just fine.   I have a feeling none of us quite understand how good these running backs are.  My sense is they are really good.  Hopefully, we get a glimpse the next couple of weeks.

Sounds like you're talking about one of my all-time favorites - A. Anderson!!  The definition of team-player should include a picture of him. UWW wouldn't be in the position it is today without his sacrifice and committment to his teammates. Sure, he has the rings today, but one day, he will (should) be recognized officially for the effort into making this team great, IMO!!

Right there with you on AA Bobo.
Besides being an incredible #2 to Coppage in 2008 and 2009, he had to spend his last season watching Coppage and Stanley in 2010.  Ouch.

Add me to the AA admiration society.  And I can confirm his teammates loved him.

It will be odd to see the Pack 2 games back with the season just 2 weeks old ;D

+ karma to you two boys for a couple of days..............I have a feeling you're going to need it!   ;)

Personally, I'm going to see if our O-line can protect Cutler against a defense a bit better than the rebuilding Colts before I start mixing it up with the Packer backers on here!   8-)
