I know I'm a Packer fan, but the way Rodgers yelled at Jones ONE time as opposed to Cutler yelling after every play was way different.  Rodgers was trying to get Jones to finish his route off, which would have prevented the interception and will benefit the Packers in future games.  Cutler was just yelling to yell, its not like he's got some technique advice to give his linemen.  I understand his frustration, but I know from playing that when someone screams at you to do your job better when your already giving your all doesn't help.  It also doesn't help that Cutler essentially gave up before the game ended.  I'm sure that makes his linemen want to try even harder for him.

They have no choice, they have to try harder...or they will be out of a job real fast. The Bears offensive lineman will be the first to tell you...as they did in the post game interivews.

Also, Jones' mistakes isn't going to give Rodgers a concussion. Culter will end up in the hospital (again) if the oline doesn't play better. I can understand his frustration for wanting to improve, so he can live past 70. I know that sounds harsh but look around at some of the older football players who sustained head injuries in the NFL...most aren't doing to good.

I understand he wants to survive the season relatively healthy.  All I'm saying is that verbally abusing your linemen on the field, all the way off the field and while there on the bench does nothing to build any morale or help them play better.  Cutler made some horrible plays even when he had time, not everything is the offensive lines fault.

Nice to know our Bear brothers and sisters like to throw around the -K in frustration the day after. Remind me after the next game to shut up.  ;)
You know it wasn't me, BoBo. Have you been on any other boards this morning?   And I missed 17's comment, sorry about that. He did call Rodgers a girl!!  Shame on him!   ;)

I am sure the Cutler regrets losing his cool so much and I understand why, we Bears fans, have more empathy for his situation than Packer fans do.

Me too.  It's just conversation after all, and we should be excited because our truly favorite teams play tomorrow.  ;)

I can agree with that. But the oline is, by far and away, the team's #1 issue. Every QB makes mistakes, especially Cutler, and the oline has done very little to help him out since coming to Chicago.

A couple quick observations of the Packer-bear game from a long ways away...

1.  It's always hard for me to gauge these things - how much of this game was a dominant performance by GB, as opposed to a Chi breakdown?

2.  Say what you want about Cutler (and I've said a lot  ;D ), but that guy is a heck of an athlete. To escape some of that pressure was pretty impressive. If he could only finish, he'd be a consistant all-pro.

But, Rodgers is a girl because he has the field awareness and moxy to take advantage of something that the ref's missed? It was a brilliant move and obviously something bear fans aren't used to in their QB.

3.  Loved Mayock's comment about the fake FG TD, "...that was so cool!!"

4.  For 52 minutes, I thought the mouth, Brandon Marshall, was inactive for this game. I love his chemistry with Cutler.

5.  Anybody feel the same way I did when Nessler commented about the Packer loss last week just prior to kickoff, “…there’s a lot of people getting ready to jump in the Fox River over this”? Thought it was a rather insensitive and ill-timed remark considering what happened with Philbin's kid earlier this year. Poor choice of words. I wonder if any of the know-it-all ESPN-types bring it up.

6.  Rodgers was yelling at James Jones, not Cobb for not coming back to the ball. As Mayock said, as a QB, you got to know who to yell at and who not to. Yelling at your left tackle from the middle of the field all the way to the bench area, the guy who's trying to protect your blind side, and then giving him a shoulder shimmy, too, isn't a wise thing. Yet, when Marshall drops a sure TD pass, Cutler goes up to him, pats him on top of the head and sits down next to him like he's his daddy.
So you agree with Mayock when he says a QB should know who to yell at and who not to but criticize Cutler for yelling at one player and not yelling at another?  Shouldn't personalities be the determining factor in the choice, not positions?    And where did anyone on here say that Rodgers was a girl???  02 and I just pointed out that Cutler wasn't the only one who was letting his teammates have it.

Exactly what I was going to point out. And given Marshall's history, Cutler is probably very aware of how to handle him. And given Webb's utter ineptitude, and the fact that his screwup could put Cutler on IR, I'd give him an earful too. And I'm not a Packer or Bears fan, so I've got no dog in the fight. But having torn my MCL in HS, I had a lot more sympathy for Cutler when he couldn't keep going with a similar injury.

I'm in a good mood today so + karma to those of you I know follow the Bear.  Don't get a big head though I think the whole + & - karma thing is stupid and generally avoid it.  But I've made an exception today.  You all have suffered enough.  ;)

In his post game press conference last night Mike McCarthy said that they have been working on the fake field goal play for three years and this was the first time the defensive alignment was favorable for it's use.

Broadcasting a big Northern Rock Valley Conference showdown between the Jefferson Eagles and East Troy Trojans tonight.  Both teams are undefeated, score 30+ plus a game and have defenses that hold teams to single digits.  This should be a really good game but I can't stop thinking about tomorrow.

I've always felt it would be a good policy of this board to identify those that give negative karma- not because I care all that much about karma points, but it would lead to interesting debate.

Maybe he was suggesting that Webb put down his twitter feed for the, "J-Webb Nation," and actually block someone...............  ::)

I don't know what Bobo's karma was yesterday, but my guess is that he'll see a net increase for the week. Can't believe someone would ding him over the Bears/Packers. Now, if it was WIAC/CCIW, that's another story.  :o

First the disclaimer: I'm a huge Packers fan!  Aaron Rodgers is my favorite player in the league hands down.  The game was awesome last night, the better team won, the worst team lost, and all is again right with the world.  ;D

Now, to go against the grain a bit.  In looking at the board, 17 being called out on calling Rodgers "a girl" seems a bit like a ref throwing the flag because he saw only the second punch between two players. I think he never would have said that if Bobo hadn't posted something about Cutler running to his "mommy". Emma can defend himself, but that's what I saw.  Anyway, all just trash talking about a game that will have no relevancy to Warhawk Nation on Saturday! Go Hawks!

I yield my time concerning the issue of me calling Rodgers a girl to the fine gentleman known as Bleedpurple.  And for the record, I hate the fact that the Packers have such a good quarterback.

As for Cutler and Webb- of course they both played poorly.  Although it is understandable to excuse some of Cutler's performance because of the poor pass protection- including how that reality impacts his play even when he has time to throw-one of the sports stations here reminded us of how many times Rodgers was sacked in the SuperBowl year.  The point is, the best players have the ability to block out the last play and take full advantage of the current play.  Rodgers did that last night and Cutler didn't.  Cutler won't be elite until he can do that consistently.

Interesting.
I'm curious, how does Bobo know what team the person that karma corned him supports?
