But then that might lead to the start of one of those unnecessary, unproductive, and burdensome winning streaks!  ;)

You are relentless  ;D
If UWW bounces back tomorrow and for the remainder of what I hope is a 15 game season, I believe a fair question to ask is "Would it have happened without the early stuggles"?

I can be relentless! Guilty.  ;D

Buffalo State revealed you to be somewhat of a prophet.  If the Hawks go on to a 15 game season, I think that's more than a fair question.  I think everyone knows a loss can be good for a team.  ;D  (OK, I'll relent now...)

02 Warhawk

We have a big day tomorrow...get some sleep you two.

What do you say Hawk fans - isn't it somewhat refreshing to be in this position?  To me tomorrow is a lot like the opening of the 2007 season- and I like it.

Refreshing isn't the word I would choose.  The streak never got old for me.  But I will say it's been a long week and I can't wait until tomorrow!

Yeah I think I was guilty last year too of not being a streak guy.
In refreshing I mean there is a newness now to walking into the Perk. There is a heightened sense of anticipation and uncertainty to the outcome that hasn't existed in a while.  Let's face it, there is some doubt about players and play calling that we haven't had in some time. All of these long suppressed emotions have been released and I know feel ...(deep breath)...refreshed.
The streak was an uneccesary and unproductive burden. Championships are the only streak I care about.
One more point, winning streaks may say as much about the competition as it does the winning team.

You need serious help, Emma.  ;D

An offensive explosion by the Hawks would do the trick.

Is that possible with a Brekke/Ward offense?  Kidding, of course there's always Wash U

Can always count on Suit to pile on. :)

To add to emma's "arguement", I always tell my golfing partners that on any given hole, a good shot late, is better than a good shot early. This could be restated here as: a loss early, is better than a loss late (in the season).

You seem to be getting more sane and sage these days retagent...or maybe I'm just getting more insane  :o ;D

KitchenSink

Very solid performance by the Hawks today..  Didn't like to see Givens get hurt, fortunately Ward had a strong game.  And the D - well, what can you say?  14 points in 3 games.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

GBMAN

With a Warhawk victory, the world is back on axis.

02 Warhawk

Oline was outstanding today. Ward had tons of room to run, and Brekke was given time to throw. Offense in general was much better, but there's still room for improvement. Too many receivers where over shot for my liking  ;).

I feel better heading into the Platteville game next week.

Thanks to footballfan413 and warhawkdad for the hospitality!

....and buffalo state got destroyed at home to an unranked Alfred team. Go figure ::)

MY BAD... Thanks to Warhawkdad for the hospitality..

I know Alma has a first-year coach, is rebuilding and all that, but 70-9 win by UWO is still something else. Will be interesting to see if the Titans can make some noise in conference

Here's hoping!!! That defense is also holding opponents to very low scoring this season (although, the offenses they've faced haven't been producing against other teams either)

Especially since a late season loss could also be a season ending loss.  :'(

...Alfred found a weakness and exploited it for 401 rushing yards. Hey, one can't expect Buffalo State to beat TWO purple powers back-to-back, right?  ;)
