Also, look for bald eagles that nest along the Mississippi near La Crosse.

Can't believe I'll be in la crosse tomorrow, instead of whitewater for the game. I'm trying to convince the wife to catch part of the LX/Pville while we're in town....but I'm not getting my hopes up. This will be my first time in La Crosse.

La Crosse is beautiful. At least try to see the stadium and the bluffs backdrop, it is really neat.

Yea, I really want to check out the stadium.  And don't worry, I won't be that jerk wearing whitewater gear on their campus.  ;D

What is wrong with the UWW stream?   It is unwatchable.  Constantly freezing up!   >:( :'(

I shouldn't say this but it seems they have fixed that problem, or at least I haven't had that problem in awhile.

Wisconsin Whitewater 35 v UW River Falls 0 <Final>

I watched the game on the stream (now living in Virginia).  It locked up a few times.  Maybe because I had streams from other games going on the computer at the same time.  Box score indicates crowd in excess of 11K.  Nice.

I will say that the Hawk defense looked very good against a River Falls offense that gave them plenty of opportunities to look good.  The RF offense gets the supporting actor Oscar  :)  I will say that the Hawk offense looked anemic at times and had trouble generating any kind of sustained drive.  Yes, there were some poor passes but there were also several dropped balls.  It seemed when Behrendt came into the game that he brought a spark to the offense.  There seemed to be a different energy level.  Not that he did anything spectacular himself but the energy level of the offense seemed to go up a notch.

The offense needs a boost. If he can do it, then let's do it!  :D

OK I'll post it.
If Brekke was doing things that made a difference in UWW winning it would be easier to understand not considering a change.  However, as Brekke is a senior, this team IMO needs to groom a QB for next year.  Brekke was 10 for 23 for 67 yards.  I won't say it couldn't be any worse with another QB because it can always get worse, but the upside to me is so much worth the risk.
There is no doubt that the receivers aren't helping Brekke a ton and he is under pressure at times.  That said, he simply doesn't seem like the type of QB that can find ways to move the chains.  I realize Berhendt came in late in the 3rd so the game intensity isn't the same.  That said, he left no doubt to the 11,000 in the stands that he has the athletic ability to create more issues for the defense.  He is a good runner with good speed.  Additionally, he seems to have better touch on the short passes (he only threw short passes today).  I felt Brekke put too much zip on some of the shorter passes making it a more difficult catch for the receiver.  Behrendt had softer touch and he hit the short routes that moved the chains.  I don't like QB controversies and especially contributing to one, but this to me has become almost obvious.  Brekke threw several long balls that were simply uncatchable- even when he had open guys.  He did throw a great deep ball to Kumerow that sure looked like it should have been caught for a touchdown.
I'll say again, if Brekke isn't a reason UWW is winning and there is certainly a talented kid that can make more plays and get groomed for next year at the same time, I think it's time.  The GREAT defense of UWW allows for a developing QB to make some mistakes.

I will also give credit to the tight end (former hoopster) Davis.  He showed very soft hands and his three catches were all important for moving the chains.  Up until today I was feeling he was perhaps not capable of contributing to the offense as he isn't fast and his blocking is suspect.  But he is an excellent target for short yardage and against the right defense he certainly can contribute.

If there is going to be a change at QB, I hope it's sooner than later...

I like what you said Emma.  At the very least it would be good to see Behrendt see more playing time even if he isn't the starter. Yeah, this team is like the 2008 team in many ways, yet the 2008 team had Jeff Donovan developing at QB.  We haven't seen that level of play out of the QB position yet on this year's team.

As many things as are different about this year's version of the Warhawks, one thing is the same or maybe even stronger.  This defense flat out HITS people!

From what I saw while watching the game the only positives I saw in QB play was when Behrendt was playing. First play was executed perfectly for a TD. Another defining play was when Behrendt was coming out of the play action with a linebacker breathing down his throat and he zipped the ball into the WR for a 5 yd gain; every time I saw that with Brekke it was a 5-10 yd sack.

While I know it was late in the third with a lead he still played better then Brekke. His passes (when they were letting him throw early) were great, he was getting the defense to respect the pass and back off which allowed the running game to rip off a lot larger runs with lots more running room.

Again I know its easy to look at this from the outside in but if anything Behrendt can't play worse then Brekke has been and allows him to develop more and if he can play all game like he did early on this offense should be humming as well. All we really need to see is the deep pass, which seems that Brekke can't hit 75% of the time. It also seemed that Behrendt could run better then Brekke as well.

I can tell that Brekke is playing as hard as he can out there and it is easy to cast accusations from here but I honestly feel it is time for a QB change, hopefully as soon as against Stout next Saturday.

EDIT: Something else I've noticed that others have agreed with (which is actually opposite of what emma has seen) is that Brekke has a big arm, which he can boom downfield, but to me his shorter passes don't have any zip on them which lets the defense closes too quickly while Behrendt had a zippier shorter pass.

And I think Lou can be mentioned in the same breath as Kleppe and Griz  :)  He's awesome.
