UW Stout appears to be similar in style (not as accomplished) as UWO, the QB is one of the leading rushers.  I like UWW's D against an offense like that.

I don't like Stout's defense against our offense though. If we thought River Falls was tough to throw on...lookout. Stout will have the best defense we've faced all year.

UWO scoring defense #2 in WIAC behind UWW
UWO rushing defense #2 in WIAC behind UWW
UWO pass defense efficiency #2 in WIAC behind UWW
UWO opponent 1st downs #2 in WIAC behind UWW
UWO opponent 3rd down conv #2 in WIAC behind UWW
UWO pass defense #1 in WIAC
UWO total defense #1 in WIAC
UWO sacks #1 in WIAC

Stout is ranked #3 overall team defense.

I think the point 02 was trying to make was that Stout's defense will be the best they have faced up to this point in the season on Saturday....

Bingo

Cool...then I'll bring this up again on October 20th  8-)
should make for an interesting discussion....   ;D 8-) ;D

Well deserving.  What a great performance coming in as basically the third string quarterback and in first real start having those kind of stats.  Wow, congrats to the young man.  I hope he has as great a performance against Oshkosh....    8-)

I'm in the middle of creating this week's WIAC Survival Guide, and I see each game has an 80-70% chance of thunderstorms.

I would bet the under in each of these games.  8-)

I wonder if Corrigan is tired of being referred to as 3rd string?  Obviously, we refer to him as that because that's what he IS (or at least was at the beginning of the season).  But it is becoming increasingly obvious that with UW-P QB's, that doesn't mean the same thing it does with other programs.  That performance Saturday convinced me.  What in the world, does UW-P have 3 of the top 5 QB's in the conference? Just sayin'....

A look at the UW-W win over River Falls and a look at the results of Hawk drives so far this year that start with field position of no better than their own 35 yard line.

What an honor.  Could a 3rd string qb be the WIAC POY???
You gotta wonder what their 4th and 5th string qbs look like......holy cow

Easy there. He had a good great game against the worst passing defense in the WIAC. If he does the same this weekend, then you might be on to something.

The forecast is getting worse for Saturday, at least in the western part of the state.  Let's hope the rain holds off til after the games are done.
Thanks for the good news  8-) ;D   Question, if a game is postponed due to thunder and lightening, when is it played.  I have wondered about that for sometime.  Given the forecast for Menomonie on Saturday there is a chance.   What happens?
I have been at games where there was bad weather.  Every time a lightning bolt is seen, there is a mandatory 30 minute wait.  This means 30 minutes from the last lightning bolt.  Can be a long game.  But I have not seen a game totally postponed due to weather because usually it is too hard to get a make up date, and the other team may have traveled a long distance.  But some of the others may have seen it happen.

Titan's Coach Pat Cerroni says let it rain  8-)

I sure hope the rain holds off for UWP-UWO.  It would be a shame if both of these high powered offenses were limited due to rain.
We might need a rain/no rain Pickem for this one.

I'd like to take an informal poll to help me set my itinery for this weekend.

UWW is at UW-Stout on Saturday and of course I plan to be there.

Just 20 miles down the road - Durand which is my home town - is now ranked No. 2 in WIAA Division 4 and will be pllaying Ellsworth Friday night trying to wrap up the school's first unbeaten regular season in many years.

BTW - I am having a kidney stone removed surgically tomorrow morning.

Am I "biting off more than I can chew" by making it a doubleheader this weekend.

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

I think that's a decision that you have to make, Voice.  You're the only one who really knows how you feel and how much stamina that you have.  If, after your treatments, you feel up to it go for it.  If you don't then it would probably be a good idea to skip one or both.  Either way I don't feel that's a question that neither I or anyone else other than you can answer. Your well being should always be your first concern.
Doing the Stout/WW game this Sat. and would love to have a chance to use that infamous quote from yesteryear, "Take that, Whitewater".  Got quite a bit of heat for that one as it was  10-0 Stout at the time and WW pounded us in the 2nd half.  Would love to to see you Voice if you decide you are up for the trip and I imagine BW probably has a big bowling thing planned and won't be making the trip! :-*
