Well, for this Satuday against Eau Claire, I believe it will be a ground battle, which should favor UWW.   With that said, our offense has to improve, the penalties have to stop and receivers have to catch the ball.  On the ground UWW only allows 47 yards a game and Eau Claire allows 157.   The question is, which UWW will show up.

WDad, I was able to catch some of the game on the audio stream. As I'm sure most were, I was surprised w the lack of points by the O. Obviously the pick 6 and a fumbled exchange were poor plays by Behrendt, but did he look very different than he did vs UWO?
It sounded like perhaps he wasn't as accurate?  Also I didn't get the feeling he tried to go deep as he did vs UWO. Can you give a report?

Interesting stat I came across today.....

UWO has run 468 offensive plays since it's last turnover.....

Not hard to figure out why they are still undefeated this season!!!

Very disappointing.  While a school cannot be responsible for choices their students make, this kind of publicity is not anything a program wants.

While I don't agree with this over simplification of UWW athletes, the UWW administration, for at least a short time, will have to work on a public perception problem that they are home to thieves, thugs, and druggies. Hopefully there won't be another incident and they can get this behind them.  We all know these type of things also happen in the general student population and those events aren't considered newsworthy.  Success comes with a cost.
Really?  We have over 10,000 students on campus and hundreds and hundreds of student-athletes.   The problems of one or two should, in no way, be allowed to cast a shadow over the vast majority of UWW students and athletes.  Don't make me start a google search about bad behavior regarding other schools and programs................. >:(

Fred Falcon: Thanks for soliciting my views on this weekend's LC-RF game. It should be a good one. I think that '02 Warhawk did a good job of summaring the game on his fine WIAC Blog. As I'm sure you know, the blog is a handy tool for staying on top of the conference action. To answer your question directly, I think the Falcons have a good chance to win the game. We have had a number of injuries among the skill players and are down to our third string RB, though Dillon Bean is not without talent. In addition, the place kicking has been an issue, which could be decisive in what should be a low-scoring game. It sounds as if the Falcons are making progress, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Having said all that, I'll take the Eagles to pull out a 14-13 win. I can't help it. I may or may not make the game, but wish you and yours the best.

BC--Your score estimate is off by one point from the respective offensive averages of the two teams. Lax should win 14-12 (-:

However, I think the score will be higher than that. Lax is last in total d, RF 4th, I think. RF's pass offense is a few slots above Lax's. So I'm going with RF 28-14.

All that said, it's  a meaningless prediction. Now I'll check out 02's blog.

Best to you, as well.

Wildcat11--I agree, from what I read, the legal pot measure will not make it in Oregon, but will in the other two states. Had I the chance to vote, I'd vote yes too! The most recent Newsweek mag has a feature article on the entrepreneurs waiting to cash in on the pot business.

This is a most incredible statistic.  This team has had an amazing season and I sure hope it continues through the Stagg.

Programs seem to be placed more and more under the microscope as they become successful. If this happened to Whitewater 10 years ago, very few DIII fans (outside the WIAC) would have bat an eye at the news of a former UWW player getting busted for drugs. I guarantee the warthogs, the D.O.C.s, the HSCoachs wouldn't have wasted their time posting here about it.

I read it and only bolded the part I took exception to.  Of course, it is a story and extremely unfortunate for him and its reflection on the program.   Especially because, as D.O.C. points out, his previous standing and success in the program and national scene.  I was just pointing out that the public perception should not be plural as in thieves, thugs and druggies.and while referring to your quote, I was speaking to the subject and board as a whole. It's all good.

BTW, careful referring to my panties.  I wouldn't want to have to report you to Pat for sexual harassment.   ;) :D ;D
