I'm interested in the discussion regarding next season's teams. I'm not as well informed on all the programs as many of you are, but will give some thought to the La Crosse program's prospects. We will bring back Andy Sires at QB, Jared Stan, Dillon Bean and some talented freshman at RB, and most of the defense. Most of the OL is graduating,  though I have been told that we have some good people coming up on that unit. We''ll sure miss our great punter Christian Hallingstad, but it's  too bad he got so much practice this season. I'll be interested to hear how the Eagles look to the rest of the WIAC fans.

Since Sept. 22, Nate Wara has 1,977 yards, 20 touchdowns and 0 turnovers.....

All American numbers?
Not only All American, but potentially Gagliardi Trophy finalist in my opinion.
Six Time National Champions: 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2014

He has All American locked up...Gagliardi is becoming a real possibility now.

UWL will also have Hertrampf coming back next year off his injury this season...

Good to see that UWL is honoring the tradition of the stadium the team plays at - Memorial Field, to those who go way back -as it hosts and honors our vets on Saturday...

I'm right there with you Dad.  I think Wara is fantastic, not just as a QB, but as a football player.  He is a special talent.  I don't know anything about his community service and academics- I hope they are strong as well.

Anyone happen to see Buffalo State beat another ranked team today?  They knocked off #25 St. John's Fischer 17-9.

Like I've been saying.....

SJF is overrated? Or Buff State is sort of able to beat average teams?

Don't over look the roll academics plays in the Gagliardi selection.  Academics was the reason Greg Micheli was nominated by Mount over Nate Kmic back in 2008.  Nate had the historic career and huge numbers to win it in a landslide if it was voted like the Heisman.  But Nate wasn't a 3.8+ student like Greg was.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

The best DIII football players don't typically take home the award (i.e. Pierre Garcon, Cecile Shorts, Levell Coppage). But every so often it works out where the best athlete also excels in the classroom and community and takes home the trophy (i.e Justin Beaver, Brett Elliot, and arguably Michael Zweifel).

I think UWP is most liking the Oshkosh of next year they lose two offensive linemen who were hurt all year, one receiver and they get Anderson and Vlask back due to medical redshirts. One defense they lose 5 starters and 3 all conference players in snyder, mcwethy, and marks so that should hurt a little bit more. But they only have 12 seniors on there roster as it is so they are young still. Also how does everyone feel about UWP's chances for get an at large bid? They got some help this weekend and they are the 2nd place team in the best conference in the nation. Would be nice to get 2 WIAC schools in and they are rolling now it seems like.

Very slim. Those two losses are a killer. Yes it would be nice to get two in, but it probably won't be this year.

I heard Kelly will be back also.  Should be an interesting battle for the starting QB spot w/ arguably the 3 top passers in the conference.

palum

UWP has done well considering they lost their # 1 running back and their top 2 QB's but Corrigan has neutralized the loss of Anderson and Kelly but it would have been nice to have had Vlasak not only for his running ability but he started his career as a wideout.  I don't know the ins and outs of NCAA D3 selections but P-villes chances are slim and none of getting in.  I know this is kind of coulda-shoulda-woulda material but Platteville's chances of getting a bid comes down to 2 plays 1. The missed extra point after a pick 6 in the 3rd quarter of the Whitewater game and 2. the incomplete 2 point conversion at the end of the Whitewater game.  Kick the extra point and you are going for one and the lead late in the game or make the 2 pointer and the lead.  As we are used to saying in Platteville lets wait till next year but we see a bright future.  Platteville should come in 2nd to WW in attendance this year which is a huge improvement for the program.

It's not up on the NCC website so I'm not sure, but does anyone know if Stout and LaCross are playing NCC again next year? I assume they were home at home agreements (NCC would go to LaX next year, Stout to NCC)?
You win! You always do!
