Trying not to look too far ahead...but I'm thinking about coming up for the UWO game if Bethel can knock off Concordia-Chicago.

That should be a good one.

I'd be very surprised if Bethel puts up much of a fight.  Bethel was one of the worst ever semi-final opponents Mount has ever had in 2010 and supposedly this isn't one of Bethel's better teams.

Oshkosh fans can make plans for the regional final today.  The winner of the Linfield/Oshkosh showdown is in the Stagg against either Mount, MHB or Wesley.

I'm not sure I'd be surprised by a Bethel Challenge to UW-O. We will see.

Here are my observations/opinions of the bracket:

1. Linfield has the hardest road to the Stagg of the highly seeded teams.  That first round game is no "gimme". Their second round game won't be, either.
2. The order of the Top 10 surest bets to make the semi's (from most sure to least sure) is:

Mount Union
St. Thomas
UMHB
Linfield
Wesley
UW-O
Hobart
Cal-Lu
Pac-Lu
North Central
Heidelberg
Bethel

3.  Potential playoff game of the year: Mount vs UMHB in the semi-finals
4. Teams Who Could disrupt highly anticipated Stagg Match-ups: Wesley
5. East Teams who carry the this year's burden of bringing respect to that region: Hobart and Widener.
6.  The missing element that would make this year's bracket infinitely more fun: UW-W.   ;)

Any time, any where.
Just wish we could play a nice mano y mano with Mount.
Get to know each other and all.

I hope that wasn't a failed attempt at a haiku.  ;D

Well that's my pick for the final two.

Four warhawk linebackers made the list. Not bad considering they only start three.

So is Josh Williams a senior or a junior? His year seems to vary depending on the source. That would be something if all four come back!

Josh told me two weeks ago that he had one more year,so all 4 will be back.

Also, congrats to WarhawkDad Jr.   ;D
Thanks 02, he is very happy, but would have traded it in an instant for a playoff birth.  Well all in all a career to be proud of -- 52-3.  3 Championships.  And he is hoping to contribute next year.

Please keep us up to date on your progress.  Not having playoff games will mean no trips to UWW until the football dinner.  Hope to see you then.
