well we know how good your D is and you gave them 28 too?  So it will be a good game with both O"s  POA  goin at it all day..  The D's will be dizzieeeee  ;D
tring to keep up?  ;) ;)
no snow scheduled  :D  maybe just a little rain..  :)

I wonder if this will be the high scoring game some are expecting.  A case can be made that perhaps play calling will get a bit more conservative to prevent mistakes.  Linfield benefitted greatly from NCC trying to throw so much (still can't figure that out). If UWO finds success in their ground game, I wouldn't be surprised if they don't put the ball in the air so much.  Granted, I think Wara is a better passer, but Linfield does a really good job in pass coverage and rushing the passer.

You have touched here on the key to the game from Linfield's perspective.  They have to have some success on early downs in stopping UW-O's ground game.  Linfield also has to run the ball, at least a little bit.  They certainly have to run it better than they did against NCC.  If neither of these things happen, they are going to put a lot of pressure on Inns and the passing game to bail them out. He still may be able to do it, but as 413 always says, balance is huge at this time of year.

UW-O has to find a way to stop/slow down Linfield's passing game.  Offensively, they have to find a way to protect Wara.  Linfield has 60 sacks this year, which is a crazy number! Even Mount, who hasn't played a competitive game all year has "only" 35 sacks.

The two wildcards I see in looking at these teams are:

1. Wara hurting Linfield by pulling the ball down and taking off on passing plays. I haven't seen enough of Linfield to know how disciplined they have been in getting all those sacks.
2. Linfield taking care of the football.  They have fumbled 24 times this year (losing 15).  That's too many fumbles.
Great perspective, BP.  Only thing I would add is............

Balance is HUGE at this time of year.   ;)

Oh, of course, a leopard can't change his stripes, especially, in week 13 of the season, but, the team that can do both sufficiently will have a better chance of playing on the 8th, IMHO.  8-)

UW-O
Passing yards per game             236.9
Rushing yards per game            232.4

Linfield
Passing yards per game             317.5
Rushing yards per game             132.6

I am not making a case for the Titans necessarily, I go back and forth everyday trying to decide who I will pick to win, just making an observation.  The other thing I always say............DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS!   8-)

Defense wins championships, along with a balanced offense in DIII. It's very hard to find an instance where that wasn't the case.

That's why I think the winner of this game will most likely reach the Stagg Bowl, but will fall short to either MHB or Mount.

Hey 02,
What do you think about the point spread on the Pick'em OAC  for MT.U & UMHB?   IT's pretty hard to beat the same team twice By 10 + , but if anyone can do it UMHB can.. Now the 24 for Widener.. AT the Quarters is that saying We still have a cup-cake or MT U is that good ?  (BALANCED )  ;)  ?

I don't have a problem with the spreads that mr_mom created. They seem about right I suppose.

Mount Union will always have a cupcake in their region as long as they stay in the East each year. They never get tested till the semi's
