You guys are ****ing clowns.  :-*

Truth is east teams like SJF gave MUC a damn good game in 06 in Alliance and the only team that can complain of Mount's so called "easy" road is U Dub who has ACTUALLY defeated Mighty Mount. Mind you U Dub lost at home to a below avg Buff State team (even with UDubs tough year dlip wouldn't call them a below avg west team).

So many East fans have sooooo much respect for programs like MUC, U Dub Dub, Linfield, on and on. Yet when some ignorant bobos come on these boards and take pot shots at a region that is actuality damn good top to bottom but seems to miss those one or two tier 1 D3 teams you sound well...just stupid.
That is your evidence of how tough Mt's road has been in the East?  One game that was 6 years ago???   ;)  Don't know what I resent more, being called stupid, a clown, an ignorant bobo or a guy.............................. ;) ;D 8-)

Well it's been a long time since we've seen BoBo around these parts so don't place the blame there ;)

You should be pissing on STU just as much as Mount.  Their bracket is every bit as weak as Mount's.

The folks that should be screaming is Linfield.  They're supposedly the #1 seed overall and yet they get the toughest region?  Each of the first 3 rounds they've got the toughest opponent of any one?  Their cupcake is the semi-finals.

Every year, we seem to have the toughest bracket.    This is nothing new.

What I complain about is that Mount Union NEVER goes on the road in the playoffs.    Yes, their record is #1.   But, could they always beat the likes of MH-B, St. John's (in their day), UW-W, and even us Wildcats on their home turfs.

Also, do not discount St. Thomas.    If we are fortunate to beat UW-O this Saturday, the semi-final will be very tough.

GO CATS! GO!

I am far from a Mount fan, but if I were on the committee, the only way I would send Mount on the road is if they lose a game at some point other than a Stagg Bowl. When is the last time that has even happened? (2005 is the answer) At some point, the volume of evidence over a period of time is so significant, it simply can't be ignored. I think that point was passed a long time ago.  I think the most appropriate way to seed teams is to seed the BEST four teams in the country #1 seeds.  And the #1 seeds ought to be ranked in order from best to "worst". There is no way I could justify ranking Mount below #2 overall in any season since 05. No way, no how.

I understand the sentiment. I understand people wishing they could see Mount play on the road to see if they could overcome some of the challenges other teams have had to face. But other than the exceptions of questionable seeds, teams that play on the road in the playoffs are playing on the road for a reason. Whatever flawed reasons teams have been sent on the road in the past, sending Mount on the road because they haven't been on the road (in the playoffs) for so long would be the most flawed of all IMHO.  Someone needs to beat them in a city other than Salem, VA.  Otherwise, it's not going to happen and probably shouldn't.

If Linfield is as good as their mustaches then UWO is in for quite the fight!  :D

Pour little baby MUC...can't go on the road....cry me a river.....So why did Linfield have to travel across the country to play Wesley in the 2nd round last year.......and you know how good Wesley was last year. That was a real brain fart.

Linfield is not Mount Union. That's why.

D O.C.

I have no idea how they could gain more respect in Division III.

What would make people happy? Fly across country to LINFIELD or UMHB for the first game of the season?  I guess that would make a lot of people happy.

Is the WIAC boards now King of the cut and paste the last 7 years?  I remember once when there were four posts to a page.

I'll have more respect for MUC when they play 2-3 top five teams before the Stagg....not before.

Huh??

Totally agree - Mount has earned home field!  AND, despite the great caterwauling of Warhawk fans, by the rules then in place, NCC had earned home field over UWW in 2010.  Nearly everyone (including CCIW fans) felt that UWW subjectively was probably the better team, but on objective grounds (until the rule change to allow past results in comparing undefeated teams), playing in Naperville was the correct call.

He's nicely trying to say that Mount is better than Linfield....that's why they don't go on the road. Linfield hasn't made the Stagg Bowl since 2004. Mount has more of a right to play home games throughout the playoffs....until they lose.

Why didn't they send MUC to Wesley in the 2nd round last year?

That's a bunch of BS. You go year to year based on who they play during the season and SOS.  :)

Is it?!?! Because that's exactly what's going on. Mount has ran the table in the second best conference in DIII for seven straight years now.

That's true...but that's a different topic. They were over rated in my opinion. I don't exactly agree with the OAC being rated that high. But that doesn't change the fact that they are rated second.

I think the CCIW should be up there.
