I'm guessing Notre Dame.

Good guess, but no.

sooners  at 47.. ;)

**Active winning streak** (I expect a Mount fan to chime in any time now, reminding us they have the longest ever winning streak)

OK.  Only since you asked for it. ;)

55 games from week 1 of 2000 thru Stagg Bowl loss in 2003

Which immediately followed a 54 game streak from week 1 of 1996 thru semi-final loss in 1999
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

What are you talking about....you got it right.

The answer was UWO (They have the longest active winning streak in all of college football)

(Hence the "+K" in my previous post)  :)

I took a look back at the Oshkosh/Bethel game. I wanted to compare Bethel's offense prior to throwing that late first-half pick, to their offense after the pick. To me that interception was EVERYTHING. Bethel had all the momentum in the world up until that point. They had the ball with minutes left in the first half and a two TD lead on the road. Then at 1:35 in the second quarter Bethel threw an interception that changed the face of the game.

Up until that point, Bethel scored two touchdowns on 216 yards of total offense. Following the interception (that setup Oshkosh's first TD) Bethel only managed 51 yards total the rest of the game!!! That includes three drives that ended in negative yards (-12, -1 and -1).

Very Interesting! It's funny how things work out sometimes:

Taken from d3football.com:

"Even though [Stefaniak] is more familiar with the Titans' schemes, he forgot one of them Saturday in a playoff game against Bethel. The Titans were down 14-0 and Stefaniak missed a blitz call that turned into a game-changing play. Stefaniak intercepted Bethel quarterback Erik Peterson and ran 23 yards to set the Titans in great position on the Royals' 26-yard line. Two plays later, Cole Myhra added a 1-yard touchdown run to get his team on the scoreboard."

If Stefaniak would have done what he was suppose to, there's a chance Bethel would be traveling to Linfield and not Oshkosh.

Speaking for most WIAC fans...I'll take it!!!

As a Mount fan, alum and former player, I will chime in, but HSCoach already has!

Good luck to UW- Osh, great team this year and they have the ability to win at Linfield! :)

D3 it's UWO  .. :)

+K

That goes for all of college football.

In a matter of a couple weeks UWW will once again be near the tops of D3 with a 2 game winning streak. Only 1 of the 32 playoff teams will be able to boast better.

UW-P will have doubled that winning streak emma  :)

UW-Whitewater fullback Bernie Tamsett and defensive tackle Jake Hohlstein were selected to the Stars and Stripes roster for the upcoming 2012 Tazon De Estrellas All-Star Game to be played in Guadalajara, Mexico on December 15th.

Congrats to both.

Maybe it's the 15 game POST-SEASON winning streak Emma should have referred to!  ;)

From Warhawkfootball.com.......

Former UW-Whitewater linebacker Lane Olson worked out for the New York Jets earlier this week. He posted the following on Facebook early Wednesday afternoon.

First I just want to thank everyone who supported me and always believed me, I can't even tell you how much it means to me I love you all. My work out went great and I am heading to NYI have been offered a future contract with the NY jets In January. I am truly blessed and Just shows never give up on your dreams. Time to grind #BeastMode...

Lane is coming off a successful season playing earlier this year for Rhinos Milano of the Italian Football League.

The Lane Train is ready to roll down the NFL track!!!

Awesome for him...interesting playing LB at the D3 college level and signing a contract as a WR at the Pro level.

So is a "future contract" guaranteed at all? I just haven't heard of that type of contract before?
