Emma17 is right about the Mount O-line.  It's solid, but I wouldn't classify it as great.  Two of the starters were D-linemen last year that were moved to O this fall because of lack of production.  It's not a weak O-line, but I sure wouldn't say it's a strength of the team.

Strengths:
1.  WR corps
2.  Overall defensive team speed
3.  QB

Solid:
1.  O-line play

Weaknesses/decent/wish it was better:
1.  RB's
2.  Defense lacks size up front

I know our personalities clash a bit but most of the time we are on same page,  would you consider moving o-line from solid to a strength based on of couple things?

1 when a time consuming drive or two was needed as in a cpl OAC games, the semi-final and final they produced(I know the offense put the defense in bad spots at times during the year, but was there a bigger "save" than when UMHB drove -aagainst a tired mount D)  to go ahead 35-28 (and I admit 5 turnovers made the "save" needed) and then two back breaking drives ensued

2. two of those lineman made first team - and our center made second team d3 all america, and the two guys "borrowed" from the defense did  very well considering they weren't 3 year starters like the other 3 were. They did a nice job in unfamiliar situations. Now if you wanna talk depth? I glad not many injuries this year- 1 substitute with game experience

and I think we both know the troubles on short yardage -lack of a true bruiser "wes Ryder" fullback and no QB sneak from the spread

add in breaking the scoring record, can the o-line get some extra credit-also after an article about the tommie's huge(same size as ours) o-line wearing out teams in second half? didnt look that way last night- I saw 2 time consuming drive put the game late in the game from our o-line

also consider upgrade "size  of D line"   they were not huge and I have no idea how they did it, but I never saw them man-handled for more than one quarter a game all season-  deisul  being a hybrid linebacker/DL made up for some size upfront too
I can't say the D-line is anything other than stellar. Undersized yes - but they battled a huge O-line for 4 qtrs last night and gave up 78yds rushing. They are aggressive and that made up for lack of size. Plus they got some good production from Rosalva and Lally - both are back next year. Only weakness to me was at RB. I wish they would have used Simon more this year - and Skilliter. Oh well - maybe next year UWW will right the ship so we can see them again!

Desertraider posed the quesion of will UWW return.  I've no idea, but the stats from this year to prior years are a remarkable difference offensively.  Granted the prior year's stats included playoff games, but here is the drop off- and add in what may be playoff numbers and it's a long way to get back to prior season numbers:
2012: Rushing Yards:  1,872 Rushing TD's: 13 Total Offensive Yards:  3,560 Total Yards Allowed: 2,415
2011: Rushing Yards:  3,319 Rushing TD's: 37 Total Offensvie Yards:  6,308  Total Yards Allowed: 3,789
2010: Rushing Yards:  4,075 Rushing TD's: 45  Total Offensive Yards: 7,063  Total Yards Allowed: 3,738
2009: Rushing Yards:  3,436 Rushing TD's  54   Total Offensive Yards: 7,344  Total Yards Allowed: 3,934

The stats show the defense played at a consistent championship level.  The offense needs significant improvement.

Thanks for pulling this together.   I had not taken the time to do it, but this more than points out what happened to the Warhawks.   I personally believe it is going to take improvement in all aspects of the offense from personnel to yes, even game planning.   However, I am willing to respect the fact that sometimes an offensive coordinator has to do the best he can with the talent on the field.   Defense was absolutely rock solid and it is a shame that Ryan Wenkman was the only Warhawk to receive any d3 All American recognition.

As long as he has the "replacement refs" that officiated the game, the Pack are fine!  ;D

Interesting. Obviously it could be nothing at all as I know LL has had a good relationship w Alvarez for many years. It could also be something for the same reason.
I'd be surprised if it had to do with the head coach position, but not surprised if it involved a different coaching role.

No problem WD. I agree too that the OC has to do the best with what he has. I did find it interesting in the lead up to the Stagg and during the game itself how often it was mentioned that LK adjusts his schemes to the talent he has - which I assume is the coaching opposite of running the same schemes as prior years and adjusting the players to that scheme.

Two different philosophies. It worked well for the Dub for a while.

Alvarez or the new coach couldn't do anything wrong getting a guy like LL on the Badger staff.  He's  young, a proven winner, knows the state HS coaches has run a good program.  For LL I think it would be step up the ladder more $$ and a better position to transition to another job.
