The NFL term is a "camp arm". Someone to throw a whole bunch of footballs so they can get in their drills without burning out their top two QB's. "Camp leg" also exists. Especially if your kicker is Jason Hanson.

But in an NFL camp is still in an NFL camp, and you never know what might happen. Hopefully he can make a good impression on some people.

Or Mason Crosby

Good luck to him.

UWL's spring practice is underway.  La Crosse Tribune today has a good story on what the Eagles are trying to accomplish...

It's a good thing the games are played on the field as this article gives me little reason to think UWL is ready to become a force again. It sure doesn't seem like UWL has a stocked offensive pantry.

It's interesting that solid contributors from the Eagles 2012 team are leaving to focus on "academics."  It isn't often you see players that are relatively important parts of the team simply quit.  Must be more to the story.

The offensive line situation at UWL is scary and has been for quite some time.  Really no players with any size or experience, although the experience piece didn't help last year.  4/5 last year were returners and they still gave up 45 sacks which is ridiculous.

UW-Oshkosh QB Nate Wara worked out for the Packers yesterday. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has a feature story in today's paper.

The UW Oshkosh Athletics facebook page has some images of the workout if you search for it.

I received a fund raising letter the other day - sent from one of the assistant coaches. Am I being too picky in complaining about the significant number of spelling and grammar mistakes?  No proof reader for the department?

Maybe the tutors are working with the wrong people. ;D

I don't think anybody proofed the letter so quit being so picky and write the check already.  ;D

I know I know.
But do they really need new uniforms?
If they were bringing in a passing game consultant I'd overlook all spelling errors and send the Visa.
But new uni's???

I'm a little behind on the Wisconsin boards so this question might have already been answered but with UW-P playing 2 IIAC schools, I was wondering who the QB for UW-P will be this upcoming season?
