In the past, someone has written a cool blog about WIAC.  I'm not seeing any mention of it.  Does anyone know if it still exists?

I'm not naming names, but it's 02.

I know this has been asked before, but I am new to the boards and to D3 football.  Will UWW post a 2013 roster before the first game?

Welcome. I gave you a "+", as a Howdy-do, since none of the Warhawk faithful did. Don't get accostomed to it. Someone else can explain.
LOL.....nice Retagent!   +k to you

Any WIAC teams do what Central College does? They have an annual scrimmage with a squad of alumni players. I think my body has at least a few plays left in the tank...
  ;D

I know Linfield does it, too.  I guarantee that my body has no plays left in it, though.  :o

A tradition unrivaled...

WARHAWKS/Washington U pregame writeup.  Includes two deep for both teams and both sides of the ball.

http://www.uwwsports.com/documents/2013/9/4/WashU_Preview.pdf?id=1823

Kudos to Tom F., Angela and the gang at UWW Sports Information. This year's game-week PDF is in color and is formatted extremely well. Thanks!!

No Steve Morris on the two-deep?

I find the whole receiver corp to be interesting.  There were 4 underclassmen WR's that made the team last year that are not on the team this year.  I know one of them caught a TD pass against UWO in the comeback 3rd quarter.

I count somewhere around 29 underclassman that made the team last year but aren't on the roster this year.
Emma this is not unusual.  The sophmore year is the normal year for typically about half of the prior year freshman to get greyshirted.   They have had a year to acclimate to the program and if they are not considered to be part of the 2 deep their sophmore year, then there is a strong chance they will be greyshirted to give the incoming freshman a look.

See you tomorrow morning!

d3football picked UWEC/St Thomas game to be a "surprisingly close game".  Interesting.

I didn't have time to make the layout corrections, so there are some issues. Hopefully, the issues won't be too distracting.

Any way to watch this game or even live stats? Nothing is working for the main site.

I am listening to the audio from the Warhawk radio team.

Wash-U drove 75 yards and got a passing TD to go up 7-0 early in the 1st quarter.

Oshkosh losing as well...UWP is going to run away with the conference this year.

To all the RF fans out there:

Thanks for the game and it looks like a little Johnnie Magic (TM) pipped you in the end. But it was a bit of a shocker, we all have to admit.  A sloppy opening round game that leaves no one satisfied. Good luck this season and let's hope our teams can find some execution discipline before next weekend.

Your pessimism is well know to us UWW fans and we even joke about it.  But it is way to early in the season to use the phrase "run away".    Our defense was outstanding today and will improve all season.  The number of players rotated on defense will create tremendous balance and the ability to keep putting athletes in position to make plays.  The issue for UWW will be putting points on the board, but in the 4th they began to get an identity.   The coaches know what needs to improve and they will work on it.

Nice job bleed, enjoyed reading it.  Today was one step, albeit a small one.  But I saw things to expand on the offensive side and I hope a certain running back that played in the 4th will get more time and actually travel to Buffalo.

Platteville got off to a 14-0 lead then thanks to a interception and a fumble and poor tackling they gave up 10 points.  Otherwise they outmaned Buena Vista which tied for 2nd in the IIAC last year.
John Kelly played the 1st and 3rd quarters and Bryce Corrigan played the 2nd & 4th quarters.  Some have said Emendorfer will continue that rotation until the WIAC opener against Eau Claire on October 5th.  Platteville had good success with its short passing game and got a good rushing performance from a 2nd string running back named Andy Puccinni a Jr. from Bartlett IL.

OzJohhnie--that was an objective report on the RF/Johnnie game. Nobody from either side was satisfied. It was a sloppy game with some outstanding individual efforts. Looking forward to the next year's game, the end of a two year contract. I hope it continues.

Easy Ke-mo Sah-bee.  September 7th is a bit too early to crown the WIAC champ just yet, don't ya think?  ;)
