And, tell me if I am wrong, if Platteville does win, it is an in-Region, non-Conference win.  Correct?  I hear those help at the end of the season.

WarhawkDad

Correct. It will help their Regional Rankings come playoff time.

Saturday's UW-Whitewater at Buffalo State game Saturday is being referred to as the most anticipated game at Buff State in well over a decade.  The Buffalo News published a feature story on the Bengals in today's edition

02 and Emma

I bought a case of the New Glarus, Staghorn seasonal while at UWW for the first game.   A couple of those each night and I sleep like a baby.   Good therapy......you should try it!   8-)

As an aside, I can not find any options for video for this game, just audio.   Anyone have any different information?

WHD

Nice! I picked up some Staghorn myself last weekend. Good stuff.

Looks like the game won't have a Video feed. I'll be on the road most of the game, so I won't be able to watch it anyway.

I wish I could shuffle off to Buffalo for the game on Saturday but my doctor has advised against it. No biggie - just a precaution as I continue to work on getting stronger.

I published the following feature on my Voices Eye on Football Blog this afternoon.

NewHawk

sounds like the perfect place to tailgate.  I will look for the all of you at the next game.  We will be the ones with the southern accent.  Been in IL about 7 years but the twang is still with us.  My son is at UWW so we are fully purple now

For sure. Admittedly I don't know when this game was scheduled but historically speaking its not as if UWP has been nearly this good for at least the 5 years prior to last season.

Also I'd take WIAC teams scheduling weaker teams over Non-conference games against WIAC opponents 10 times out of 10.

Amen brother thrunt01 +k to you.   For all the years my son played, I hated playing another WIAC team as if it was a non-conference game.  Hoping for PVille to run the table this year, except when they play UWW!

So in my galaxy UWW football is the center of our universe and therfore, I'm a bit surprised UWW-Buff State didn't appear in Triple Take today.  No mention in the Surprisingly Close or Top 25 Team to be Upset categories.  Keith's take on Top 25 Team to be Upset is "No major upsets".  I don't know if that means he thinks UWW will win or if he wouldn't consider it a major upset if they lost.

The former is probably correct. But I'm shocked as well this game wasn't mentioned. At the same time it gives me some comfort it wasn't mentioned.

The D3 poll has UW-W at number 15 and BSU unranked. Of course it would be a major upset if they lost. Besides, the category doesn't even call for "Major" upset, it calls for "Most likely Top 25 team to be upset".  If they felt like UW-W was likely to be upset, they would have listed them. Clearly they don't expect that, nor should they.

As for your question regarding Saturday's game helping them, it certainly will help to get an in-region win. One of the sub-criteria is "opponents win %", so it may not help them that much. However, I fully expect the Pioneers to be a solid pool C candidate.  ;D

Thank-you for giving me a laugh and a smile!   Yes Pool C, the non-automatic qualifiers, which means someone else will win the conference and get the Pool A automatic.    Got to love your thought process.   I wonder which University of Wisconsin - WIAC school you are leaning towards?   ;D 8-) ;D

Well, not the team that has not won a WIAC championship since 1980 (UW-P) nor the team that won its first in 36 years last year. When an occurance travels that far outside the norm, normalcy tends to return rather quickly. I am expecting a return to normalcy in 2013.  ;)
