In the future, these will usually be posted on the UWW QB Club website, but am posting it on the blog to give people a chance to read it before Saturday's game.
Nicely done, BP.

La Crosse faces a difficult test at home against WW on Saturday. The weather forecast is for a 60 percent chance of rain and a high of 71, with winds up to 20 mph. On the field, La Crosse has had to shuffle the O-line due to an injury. In addition, RB Jared Stan is unavailable. Since the defense has surprisingly struggled, the odds seem to strongly favor Dub-Dub. Of course, this gives the Eagles an opportunity for a signature victory, and I hope to see one. Drive safely, Warhawk fans.

Thanks, Brian. I plan to arrive a little before 12.  Any Hawk (or..gulp...Eagle) fans gathering anywhere before the game?

Brian, I just wanted to take the time to mention that I always enjoy your synopsis's of the Eagles.  We came into the Warhawk program, in the early 2000's, when LAX was the top dog in the WIAC and so they will always be an emotional matchup for me.  I know this board gets to be overwhelmed by Warhawks fans often, helped by our numbers, so it is great that you remain and give us great insight to the program. +karma to you, Sir.   8-)

Thanks for providing information on LAX, I truly wish we had more posters for all WIAC schools.  It would certainly provide more information, more insight and probably livelier discussion on the boards.   Please keep up the good work.

Some poor composure by the Titans defense today with numerous personal foul penalties throughout the 2nd half. Nice late INT to seal the victory with less than a minute to play.

Offense puts up 465 yards to keep the game in hand. Nick Olla (QB) went 28/39 for 328 yards, 3 TDs and no INTs.

A very impressive game by UWW today.  IMO this was there most dominating performance in all phases.  Great coaching job as the continuous improvement is obvious.

The TD drive to start the 3rd was Outstanding.  Playmakers are making plays in all phases.
MB's pass to T Huber on the slant with a blitz in his face was one of his best plays of the day.

Well done Hawks.

Thank you to the gracious Warhawk fans for their kind comments regarding my posts, and congratulations on your fine win today. I am digesting the day's events and will have more to say soon.

Congratulations to the Titans on their victory this afternoon. It sounds like a good game between two evenly matched teams.

UW-Whitewater was relentless in this afternoon's 47-3 thumping of UW-La Crosse. UWL head coach Joel Dettwiler severely questioned his team's effort according to a postgame story posted on the WKBT News8000 Website.

Here are a couple of Coach Dettwiler quotes...

"I mean they get 47 points because we have a lack of effort and we have guys not trying. I've never been associated with something like that in my career. You know, it's very hard to be associated with that and have my name on that right now."

"I challenged the kids, if you don't want to be here, then don't come back tomorrow"

OUCH!!

Awesome game by the Hawks today.  I was up at LAX for the game... Two things stood out to me.

1. If I'm not in error, the Warhawks had  11 penalties for 114 yards.

2. There were several passes that Beherndt missed that he has to make.

Other than that...nice job.

1. The box score says 12 for 119, but who's counting?  ;)

Yes that has to be cleaned up.  I think there were at least three "chop block" or "blocking below the waist" penalties. I'm not sure if this officiating crew has a different take on that rule or if the guys got sloppy in execution, but I don't recall seeing a game where a team got three of those in the past.

2. yup.  He was pretty erratic at times, especially in the first quarter.  But it should be noted that he also made some great throws.

Well Stout did prove that it can play with one of the "Big Three" today on our turf.  Now we will see if we can stay with the "Big Two" on their turf as we play at WW and Platteville in the next 3 weeks.    A very entertaining game today.   Looked like a blowout early at 21-0 but a combination of outstanding Stout playmaking on offense and some very undisciplined Osh play (5 or 6 personal fouls and 16 penalities) made for a very exciting finish.  Stout had the ball and was driving into fg territory when a 2nd and 5 sideline pass was jumped for an interception which sealed the deal.  Oshkosh, I think, is a very outstanding team that did not play very smart today.  Stout is clearly better than last year.  Clayt was very disappointed after the game and made the point that he just wanted so badly for his kids to experience some success against one of the big guys.  Look forward to seeing Gary, BW, and the WW guys next week.  Gary, I will be doing the game with my HS radio partner as Jason has a birthday this week and is choosing to celebrate elsewhere.
